How I tricked my brain to enter deep focus (The Focus Formula)

The focus formula, or Focus Mode as we call it at Cajun Koi, is a habit that conditions your brain to focus when you need it to. It's as if you're tricking your brain to focus at will. If focus is a muscle, then this is the exercise that trains it.

🙏 Thanks for watching!

F - Familiar: Create a routine/ritual to increase focus through repeated familiar experiences.
O - Objectives: Set clear and specific goals for the focus session to avoid multitasking and increase efficiency. (What, when, where, how long)
C - Capture: Write down internal distractions to keep the mind clear and focused.
U - Urgency: Use urgency as motivation to focus by creating consequences/working w/ a timer.
S - System: Establish a system of accountability, regularly use the Focus checklist to condition the brain into a state of deep focus

I started watching this channel since the start of 2023, looking for tips/advices when it comes to college. I'm glad I did, and I actually wish I did sooner. Thanks for the content man!

Working hard for something you don't care about is called "stress". Working hard for something we love is called "passion''. I hope that anyone who reads this post will be successful in life. 👍🧡

Sometimes, I catch myself reading the same sentence over and over again, because I am not concentrated, and can't remember it.
If something like that or brain fog happens, just sit back, close your eyes and relax for a minute. This reboots your focus.

Quick summary!

The video is about a focus checklist called "FOCUS" that helps individuals improve their productivity and focus. The acronym stands for Familiar, Objectives, Capture, Uninterrupted, and Sensory Environment. Familiar refers to having a routine or ritual to start focusing, Objectives refer to having clear and defined goals for the focus session, Capture refers to eliminating both external and internal distractions, Uninterrupted refers to having uninterrupted focus time, and Sensory Environment refers to having a suitable environment for focus. The checklist is designed to be used repeatedly to help train the brain into a state of deep focus.

That demo was the best part. It was v useful to see how it's done in actual practice even though there was a pretty clear rough idea. Still seeing the demo made things even more clear.

The last segment of the video was an excellent way to describe the topic. Keep doing the immaculate work of giving examples to the context. 👍

Time pressure was the exact tool I needed insight on because so often I write multiple tasks a day with an estimated time to complete each not knowing exactly how to balance them out. This part was massively useful. Thanks!
