Smoothies might be better for you than juice, but not by much according to Professor at Pediatric Endocrinology, UC San Francisco and author of "The Hacking of the American Mind" and "Fat Chance", Robert Lustig. By pulverizing fruit into a thick paste, you're losing out on the insoluble fiber and its benefits. Put simply, you're better off eating fruit than drinking smoothies or juice.

Guys if you happen to read this, this doesn’t mean smoothie are bad for you, it just means you’re missing out on possible nutrients you could be getting, so drink that smoothie before you workout or something, but eat something else as well later

You can still have a piece of fruit but most people i know aren't doing fruit smoothies they are putting everything from carrots to spinach and greens in. Its a way to get a whole ton of health and antioxidants in one drink but doesnt mean they arent still eating a salad later and an apple or banana.

"Everyone wants to take smoothie now!!!"... of course a lot wants to go healthy that most people are trying their best to have a healthy lifestyle... a negative inquiry like this one will appear and discourages people from trying to be I'd rather go with my fruits and vegetable smoothies than my old lifestyle which are going to restos and eating this all kind of meat which is bad for my health....

According to this sugar expert we will have to ingest full whole apple and shove bags of spinach down our throat. This will definitely gives us the benefit of the fiber. Good advise

The upside of smoothies is it's an easy way of eating fruit and veg in high quantities, so if you're worried about your health, I wouldn't be to concerned with smoothies. As long as it's just fruit and maybe water and/or some spices, it's healthy
