These guns may be old, but that doesn't mean they're useless. Even after WW2, they still get the job done.

These guns are fascinating, but they should be in museums or as family heirlooms. I hope we don't lose too many of these awesome artifacts.

As an old weapons enthusiast I am sad to see many of these historic beauties getting lost in the heat of the war. I wish these finite masterpieces to be put to good use, but not to die with their holders.

Thank you for reporting both sides using older equipment. There's been a lot of news that seem to say, "look at those silly Russians with outdated equipment" but the reality is war is war, so if you've got a stick and the other guy doesn't, you have an advantage.

I just went to the range today with a mosin nagant. Dates on it are 1943 and all serial numbers match meaning all the parts are original. It performed extremely well AND bruised my shoulder.

All these old guns in the right hands can be very formidable and there's always battlefield recovery if you want something better.

The weapons made in WWII were well made in most cases and worked quite well. The Cold 1911 was made BEFORE WWI and is still one of the most popular handguns 111 years later. And some of them from the wars are still very usable.

The only reason the ZB-30 looks eerily like the BREN is because it is the ZB-30. The British built them under contract, but chambered in .303 British. BREN is an acronym for Brno and Enfield.

Still get plenty of use out of my Remington model 1903A3 Springfield, as well as my M1 Carbine. They were passed down to me, and will continue to be passed down within my family ✌🏻🇺🇸

hello from Ukraine. two years ago I took a course for a young fighter. And at the shooting lessons they learned how to shoot from a TT pistol. for a banal reason, there were so many cartridges for them in the warehouses that it was simply not a pity. I will say this, the recoil is wild, and we were forbidden to shoot with two hands :( bullets are twice the standard for pistols today. The weapon itself is good, but this is not something you can quickly use if the main weapon cannot be used.

M2 browning is not to be replaced. It is still used in the US army for a reason.

The Springfield rifle is still one of the most accurate rifles in the world, so is the mosin negant - just because their old doesn’t make them bad. The ppsh, stg 44 etc are examples of this

Makes you wonder if what the US might have in storage. The old M1 rifle or carbines WWII, there are still plenty of M-14 somewhere. The old Browning .30 1919 are probably stored somewhere. Of course the Ma Duce aren't in storage as they are still currently being used.

It may be 80 years old, but who wants to be on the receiving end of an MG-42.

I saw one army using a WW1 machine gun on one of the film clips. It seemed to shoot fast but much slower than todays weapons

*In fact, this war looks a lot like a modern version of the Winter War.*
