You forgot the R after 7.62x54. It’s a rimmed cartridge for ejection and head spacing.

Ian from forgotten weapons would be pissed right now.

I miss the days where you could buy a mosin at Big 5 sporting goods for $70 and you could also buy a 440 round ammo can of armor piercing ammo for 60 bucks. I used to go to the range with a Mosin nagant and just blow through so much ammo, good times but now Mosins are expensive they cost several hundred dollars and the ammo is much more expensive too

It's old, but gold... No matter how obsolete.. If it worked, it works! I love old guns

My favorite gun ever, everything from the design, caliper, to the efficiency. Truly one of the greatest BA rifles ever made.

A bullet still kills whether is 400 rounds a minute or 40 rounds a minute. Never underestimate a foe with a gun to shoot you with.

First rifle I ever bought. Hand made a stock from cedar wood for my mother for it, and gave it to her for mother's day. It can hit a dime from 1, 400 yards, repeatedly, and the armor piercing ammo it uses can punch a whole through an engine block.

I have a 1917 Remington M1891 that is the same way as the day it fell off the assembly bench, except for spitzer chambering. If I remember the correct conversation from arshins, she will reach out and punch a hole through anything I can see with groupings a quarter will cover...not to mention that at a range the first round sent is always followed by a sudden silence.

It is an antique weapon but remains undeniably effective. A soldier would likely rather have a machine gun though, and not a weapon older than both World Wars.

Long distance is right. That ladder sight makes 800 yard shots easy. Excited to try something farther

I’m a proud owner of one. A 1942 war variant, with the bayonet. It’s gorgeous. Still fires well too.
