The Church was either guided by the Holy Spirit or it wasn’t when it declared Jesus’ divinity. No one would dispute that we are required to believe this as Christians. The same principle applies to everything else he listed. It wasn’t tyranny at the Council of Nicea and is not tyranny now.

It is Jesus’s promise to preserve His Church. You either believe Him, or you’re calling Him a liar. Church’s authority is not like secular authority. The Church basically gave you the Bible, and Jesus gave the Church the authority to interpret it and teach the Gospel truth until the end of time.

Former protestant here, one thing about Mary I've learned is that, she is without sin thus cannot die. Purgatory ain't a second place to be saved but a place for people who still have hate or envy or pride before death which does not necessary lead them to hell but also stops them from entering heaven. And speaking of icons, the cloth of jesus was needed to be touched by the women to be healed which questions faith ONLY. As James clearly says Faith without works is dead. All this came to me because of sola Scripture. So I can say the holy spirit guided me here. But theres one problem, there are 10, 000 denominations of which all say is inspired by the holy spirit, now all can't be right cause God is one and the Last thing he'll do is confuse us. Lol this argument doesn't work at all because his idea of "democracy" isn't actually democracy. It is theological relativism and subsequently moral relativism.

This my work against the Roman Catholic church because of their view of the Pope of Rome but wouldn't work against Orthodox Christianity because his idea of tyranny being caused by the need to do certain things is just his standard of what he views as right and wrong.

Who cares what he thinks is right and wrong, is he the pillar and buttress of truth? No the historical and BIBLICAL church is the pillar and butress of truth. And the entire biblical paradigm of the apostolic church does not match up to the protestant churches, it matches up to the Orthodox church.

This isn't a problem of tyranny, it is a problem of pride from his end. Failure to reject his own ideals for Christ's. Sad thing to see.

I've come to the conclusion, if Peter is the 1st pope, then Paul is the 1st Protestant because of how he single handedly clapped at Peter for being out of line with the gospel. Showing that Peter was fallible..
