Revoking Article 370 was an election promise kept by Narendra Modi during his second term as Prime Minister. Mr Modi has vowed to revitalise the area’s economy, but many in India’s only Muslim-majority region say they feel betrayed over the last five years.

It's a shame that ABC has gone down the path of NY times, Al Jazeera, BBC and The Times .There are enough issues here in Australia to cover, maybe stick to the housing issues and the supermarkets price gouging . Yet another biased report, I will not be following the ABC anymore .You have lost me with this lack of research with the last couple of videos .If you had done any research, you would know that Kashmir has never been safer and Tourism is booming with thousands of jobs created .People finally have a sense of purpose in the valley. The only side that's unhappy with the abrogation of article 370 is Pakistan ! Article 370 was a ploy used to divide Kashmir after independence, there was bloodshed till 2019. And please do some research on post independence events in Kashmir, wonder why nothing gets reported in the ABC about the genocide of innocent Kashmiri Pandits in the 1990's .

I was in Kashmir last year. Since the abrogation of Article 370,

- Kashmir tourism is at an all-time high (16.2 million visitors in 2022)
- Dubai's Emaar group to invest $60 million
- Local businesses booming
- Stone pelting incidents drastically reduced
- G20 tourism minister's meeting held in Srinagar, giving the city a recognition like no other

Still want to believe that removing Article 370 was a "mistake"?

So ABC should immediately do a 'documentary' supporting religion based reservation for real estate sales in Sydney, NSW. All 'outsiders' in Sydney, NSW should be barred from buying property, setting up a business, applying for educational scholarships, the list goes on. That was the reality of art 370 in Kashmir.
