Why Does DKOldies Cost So Much?

The single most frequent question I've seen since starting here in May, is why does it cost what it costs to shop at DKOldies?
I spoke with the team, read a lot of articles, and this is the answer I came up with.

I always assumed that the reason the prices are so high is because unlike that one person on eBay, DKOldies is a business, and

1. They need money to pay their employees.

2. They need money to pay the bills of that building.

And 3. They need money to keep buying all those retro games collections so they can keep the stock up.

It's as simple as thinking "They are not some eBay dudes that want to get rid of the thing" they are a company with employees to pay and a workplace to mantain. If only you people had paid more attention in school.

You forgot to mention that no one is forced to buy from DKOldies. More than likely the ones that complain about prices have not bought a single item from you all.

Please just call a spade a spade. Pricing is NOT based primarily on supply and demand, it is based on EBAY. Then marked up AT LEAST 30%.

Bro you can't use these excuses when the rest of the internet sells a game for 130 but dk oldies sells it for 200. Dk oldies charges so much because rhey are greedy. Every local game store will offer you a free warranty. And you can't say your console is refurbished if the console has never been opened. Support your local game store. Don't send your money to dk oldies.

Yeah, but your prices are like 5 to 8 times more than anything on eBay and that doesn’t equal a justification because you offer a warranty and a return policy

It’s crazy how some people think this is bad business. But I run a hydro store and yes some brands sell more than others so you have to make your 15-20 perfect on items and then sacrifice the other stuff at 10%

EBay: £20-£80 for a PS2 slim
