To everyone who cant get the ghost girl to spawn and get the spirit calling bell because you have already visited the round table talked to the other girl selling the spirts…
You can purchase the bell from the twins at the round table for 100 runes (: hope this helps

You can only summon one spirit per rest. If your summons die, you have to rest at the bonfire to get another summon chance.
Also You can only summon spirits in certain areas. You'll see a castle gate icon on the left side of the screen (it's usually blue).

If she doesnt spawn for you what I did is fast travel to any grace and fast travel back to the church at night and she spawn for me

So to answer everyone’s questions that Dingus here didn’t:
You acquire the summon separate to the actual item required to summon, if I’m understanding this correctly. This is my first souls game I’m actually going to play through, so forgive me if I’m not quite translating this perfectly. But after you get the summoning “spells” or whatever, you need a summoning bell, which is the item that performs the action of summoning. You get one from a woman back at the church of eleh (or however it is spelled).
Rules are that it is one summon per life or bonfire visit, and one at a time (but I think o saw something about maybe being able to summon more at once later in the game, but i could very well be wrong on that)

Hey mate, it’s literally impossible for me to ring the bell, no matter where I go, I’ve gone everywhere but for some reason it’s not able to ringed? I have enough of everything fp etc I think my games fucked

If you missed the girl and went to far you can also just fast travel back to the round table on ur map, it’s at the bottom left.

I got the bell and the wolves but it won’t let me summon them it he Reaches behind his back to grab and nothing happens

Be aware that if you find the girl giving the jellyfish ashes before the night girl, you get the bell, but you can't summon any ashes. at least that is how it seems to be for me.

you didnt mention an important part, you can only use ashes when the spirit emlem is on (purple icon to the right of the screen)

I have a summoning bell and have acquired the lone wolves, the skeletons and godrick soldiers… but my character wont summon either of them. Any idea why?

Did a whole playthrough without summons due to the fact my game was corrupted and the ghost lady to offer the bell never appeared.

TO EVERYONE WHO DIDN'T GET THE SUMMONS EARLY GAME - The witch comes back randomly if you stay at the Church of Elleh during the night, even later on.

I was fighting the tree sentinal and found it appeared for both my characters. This was way after I collected my mount.
