As a Porsche service advisor i applaud you. Make sure you keep your drains clean and have fun till the next problem crops up.

It's funny reading people's reactions to him pulling up on railroad ties meanwhile the construction crew I work with trust 2 6x6s stacked on both sides to raise our dozers high enough so we can work underneath them

My son was quoted 4.000 for a cooling system in his BMW. He turned on YouTube and did it himself for 700 bucks including a set of tools. He just turned 18 and never worked on a car in any fashion before.

Some folks just don't see the delight in fixing something with an idea you had with stuff you've already got laying around.

As a technician at an auto shop and not a dealer, I always applaud when someone is able to effectively get away from dealer prices 🏃‍♂️ 🏃‍♂️ 😂

The difference between a guy that can fix it and a mechanic is about $1997

Note: The Milwaukee impact driver price was not included in the final price of 3$.

Badass fix. Had the same issue on my car. Dealer asked the same crazy amount for my suv but I found an aftermarket solution for $75 and had it installed for $75 at a shop. Wish I had seen your solution which looks like no more than $20 in parts. Kudos to you and up yours Porsche!
