Thanks for the reminder. I used to always switch the relays, but it almost never worked. Just tried it on my chevy van and she fired right up. I was getting ready to drop the tank. Glad I watched your video.

Appreciate your thoroughness. Many folks posting info on swapping or shorting the relays to test them forget to remind others to ** double-check the related fuse ** itself for the circuit in question.

Thanks for making this video I was dealing with this same issue but I figure what my issue was it was my fuel pump relay but soons I put another relay in that spot my ride stays on n no shutting off it be simple things but soons u take it to a repair a million n ones lies when it’s a simple easy fixed 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽

You could bridge with a wire the contact 30 and 87 in the fuse box for the pump to function ; and to test directly the relay 9V or 12V battery in 85 86 on the relay if t clicks is good, no noise is broken

My fuel pump relay went bad. Or my fuel pump did. Is the 86-85, 30-87 diagram the same between these relays on most vehicles? Because a new relay at O'Reilly's or AutoZone is now over $40! Took off my AC Compressor because the whole system needs an overhaul - so I could do this, maybe? I have a 1993 5.2l Dodge Ram B250 Van.

Would your truck be able to be remote started with that same bad fuel pump relay? In other words, is the relay only for the key circuit? Or does it have to go through the relay even with remote starting?
