This will go down in history as the absolute dumbest idea of all time. The producers of this show should be proud.

They set up shop near a whale carcass, put a guy in a flimsy plexiglass “cage, ” the dude was knocking on the plexiglass, and the team didn’t take him out the moment the shark started bumping the cage.
They did almost everything wrong, and they are so unbelievably lucky that Jimmy didn’t die.

Not to mention, the entire “experiment” was flawed from the start. They wanted to test if great whites are more aggressive in open ocean, but they decided to perform this test near a whale carcass. OBVIOUSLY the shark is going to be more territorial- not because it’s in the open ocean, but because there’s a bunch of people encroaching on its food source. It was scientifically flawed from the start, and any “results” they might have found would not be related to their hypothesis.

Territorial not sure about that, looks like a bump and bite, which is common in deeper water. The shark bumped a few times, and then went in for the kill. He's lucky the shark got a mouthful of plexiglas glass and rope entangled in its mouth otherwise it may have came back and got him before he got out. Just because you petted a few shark snouts from the safety of your boat, doesn't mean they didn't want to eat you if given the chance.

what people need to realize about sharks is yes, they can obviously tell the difference between a human and seal. don’t insult their intelligence. they just don’t care and if they wanna bite they’re gonna bite. people always make it out to seem like sharks target humans because their human. no it was meat in the ocean. human, animal, it doesn’t matter.
