There was no shark. This was a pygmy sperm whale that accidentally swam into shallow water. When this happens their echo location doesn’t work correctly and they have no idea where they are. They become stressed and will freak out; when this happens they will ink a dark red liquid.

For those wondering, that’s not a Shark but a Pygmy Sperm Whale, when distressed (like getting beached) they release a dark liquid, like how a Cephalopod shoots out ink.

That is a Pygmy sperm whale freaking out in shallow water. “Each pygmy sperm whale has a sac filled with dark liquid in its intestine. The whale can release more than 3 gallons of dark, reddish-brown liquid, or “ink, ” from this sac. The liquid creates a dark cloud in the water to help protect the whales when they feel threatened or are trying to escape predators.”
