You should get penalized for false leading titles

1. Bad title
2. A virtual machine is not emulation
3. MBA lacks active cooling, not passive cooling

Fun fact your m1 or M2 passive cooled Mac won't be damage if you play games on it

Fun fact your m1 or M2 passive cooled Mac won't be damage if you play games on it, it won't be optimal but it will not hurt. Only if you game 24/7 but if you do don't buy a Mac :)

I think the problem with this title and the content is that you give the advice but not a plausible reason to the advice.

Parallels core/ram limitation is artificial. The reason emulation is slow is not because of that or because it's "another application", it's because it's typically designed like an interpreter, like for a scripting language (python, bash, perl, etc). A binary translator (hopefully) does a full conversion at link time and saves the result, using something more like a look-up table with some multi instruction workarounds for things like different sizes of immediate fields (required if target arch's is smaller), endianness, and breaking up the cisc x86 instructions. If a binary translator is buggy, you likely will have more than texture problems (illegal instruction crashes, memory corruption, other strange behavior). The texture problem is probably GPU or GPU driver related (just guessing tho, I'm not a graphics guy). ARM is pronounced like "arm"; no one says the letters.

the problem with playing games on the mb is not the cooling, it is the low amount of memory in the base model. If the mb is running out of memory, it will tmp push data to the ssd (called memory swap) which will put a wear on your ssd. When your ssd dies it will also kill your notebook, because it is not replaceable.

I don't see the macbook getting killed... the title should be "How to trick people to click my video".

This video is a weird one, he doesn’t even mention the games on the Mac App Store or Apple Arcade.

I play games on my M2 MacBook Air and they perform really well. Resident Evil village is great and a couple of hours in to a gaming session the MacBook barely gets above an ambient temperature.

Is there any point to use the expensive crossover over just Game Porting Toolkit on its own?
It seems like a lot of videos on YouTube about gaming on Mac are sponsored to promote Crossover or something. They all have affiliate links to crossover downloads in the descriptions, lol.
But I have a feeling we're kinda getting played and it really isn't necessary since Game Porting Toolkit is out and free.

And even if things like crossover were necessary, what's the point of paying an expensive software subscription to still un-optimally play games on a Mac instead of saving up the money to buy a cheap PC that could run these games on the same framerates/quality as the Mac+crossover ?

Games aren't going to kill your Macbook Air. The thing will just throttle itself and there will be no damage caused.

and the worst thing of apple m2 for gaming you can't upgrade your memory and ram like what other brand do to their gaming laptop

can you do cloud gaming on the mac as a solution then? e.g. amazon luna, xbox game pass ultimate etc.

Get your facts straight! Crossover does no translation of x86 to arm (that's what rosetta does on osx). It translates system calls from win to whatever host envionment it runs in (linux or osx)
