We are taking off from Orlando Executive Airport (KORL) and flying up to Greenville Downtown Airport (KGMU) in a Cirrus SR22.

The weather is nice in Florida but takes a quick turn once we reach norther Georgia and goes into solid IMC (Instrument Meteorological Conditions) and shoot an approach into the airport (RNAV 19).

I try to talk through everything I do as much as possible in order for you guys to follow along with ease.

If you are new here: Thanks for stopping by, and make sure to check out my other flying videos. If you'd like to see more of the content I provide, subscribing helps out a lot!

Enjoy!

Camera Equipment:

GoPro 10 (front)
GoPro 8 (side)
GoPro 3 (interior)

That’s the first time I’ve actually seen anybody do a full cold start and checklist in an SR22. There actually is a reason why you should bring flaps back to 0.

One of the best IFR videos on youtube. Thank you.

Very solid instrument approach discipline and skills. Love the way you verbalize your flows and procedures. Look forward to more of your instrument videos … especially IMC and low approaches.

I just came across your channel. Love your videos.
I love how you explain each process of the
Flight. I just bought a cirrus, after 10 years of non flying, and love it.
Enjoy

Wow, great video. It’s by far the best IFR video I’ve seen in a long time. Impressive how far ahead of the airplane you are at all times. You dont see that to often unfortunately. My Cherokee is over at KCEU (Clemson airport ) and I fly that Approach often. Have to love the GFc 500. I have dual G5s and the GFC500 and love it. You had mentioned VNAV issue, I still have a 430W, so I’m not able to use VNAV, but I can tell you that even without VNAV, the AP will try to climb into the GS if your power setting is slightly to low. Unless you’re referring to something different ? You also had the pleasure of talking to the cranky Speed demon Tower controller !!! That guy is terrible. I’ve heard Students pilots get totally confused by him multiple times. Actually had a Cirrus turn into me as I was flying the RNAV 1 approach because he misunderstood the Tower. If you’re ever over by KCEU, let me know.

Another great video. I especially like how you leave the camera view in one place for enough time to take in everything. Some others constantly change camera angles after a couple of seconds which I find distracting. Your chosen views, detailed explanations and procedures make me feel like I'm flying... when I'm not flying. I actually follow your flights with Foreflight in hand. You didn't mention it but a flight such as this one is yet another reason to get IFR. Beautiful bird btw.

Wish you stayed on tower long enough to hear king air land safely. Nice video!

This was awesome. I fly an SR20 G6 and will be starting my instrument in a next year, so super helpful to learn ahead from this!

This is what I’ve always wanted to do is flying IFR cross country in a Cirrus SR 22 Generation models so I’m glad to ride with Garett because he knows his Aircraft

awesome instrument approach! I am with you on the frustration of vnav descent followed by a climb to gp. Normally I don't bother with descending early. I just hit apr and wait for the diamond to come in

Awesome video. I just came across your channel and I subscribed. I recently received my PPL training in a 172. I hope to one day purchase a Cirrus, but I want to obtain my instrument rating first and get more hours under my belt.

Stumbled across your channel, and happy I did! I am a fellow Cirrus pilot (and have a few videos on my channel just for fun you might enjoy). I appreciate your videos!
