Before ALL you regular people judge and make assumptions, look up coping mechanisms and dark humor.

All you regular folks out there don’t see trauma and death on a daily basis. You’re shielded from it by those who work as cop, firefighters, EMTs, and you all are certainly not Veterans who have seen death and destruction either. These individuals develop a coping mechanism that utilizes dark humor.

It’s often mistaken as insensitivity but it’s so they don’t lose their minds after seeing all the shit they have seen. So, stop trying to make them out as villains and try to understand how horrible their jobs really are, seeing all that tragedy.
