Seems like Police can text or on at their phones, but we get pulled Over for the same thing. NO ONE SHOULD BE ON THEIR PHONE AND DRIVE!!!
This man is lucky to be alive.

The cop doesn’t even ask if he is okay! Disgusting! The guy was waiting at that corner for quite some time. Meaning the cop had been distracted with his phone for quite some time and then even TURNS A CORNER without looking. Imagine if a child had been riding along side his dad. Very good chance the child would be killed or severely hurt, as they would have been at a lower level and unable to get some jump in to help prevent serious injury as the man did in this situation. And paid leave?!!? Is that a joke? 🤬

Just reading the title, I've said so many times, that law is in effect for safety and officers who have the right to be on work calls while driving are just as dangerous as anyone. Also, it's NOT where your hands are, it's where your head is.

And here's why POLICE SHOULD NOT BE EXEMPT FROM TEXTING WHILE DRIVING LAWS.
Every police service I've seen is exempt from these laws stating "for use in the job". Police had radios for talking. The only reason for police to text while driving is for personal use.
