Feeding your Exes to our Reptiles for Valentine's Day!

This year we're celebrating Valentine's Day a little differently than normal... We reached out to our Patreon backers to nominate an Ex of theirs (along with a statement they'd like us to share), and we then named a mouse after them and fed it to one of our reptiles!

To the anonymous person who had Karen fed to the snakes, I just want you to know that I come from a similar place. Being emotionally abused as a child is an incredibly traumatic experience. I love this and similar ideas! My favourite was the cat shelter that teamed up with an office supply store, in exchange for a donation they would print a photo of your ex and shred it, then use the shredded paper in the litter boxes!

I'm always shocked at how horrible people's exes (and family) can be. My exes are all lovely people, and we still talk on occasion. I am glad that this catharsis exists, though, for people not as fortunate.

This is also great with horses when you feed them anytime like an apple because it starts foaming out of their mouth and it’s a little like your ex is is getting eaten AND blended :)

This year I finally had someone to spend valentines day with! She’s the absolute best girl I know and I gave her a heart shaped treat. (She’s my cat)

I liked the explanation at the beginning on why you were doing this - makes total sense that other zoos etc would do this too - lots of catharsis and schaunenfruede (which I can never spell lol) for people for whom Valentine's Day is NOT a day of good memories :)
