Dehydration...bingo; increasing more coffee...bingo; RECENTLY started HIT; no alcohol; been avoiding organs, will begin; 62 years old, stroke 3years ago, OMAD saved my life. I've been on a strict carnivore diet for the last year only cheated at Christmas time and yet I still get two gout attacks a week for the last several months. They took me off of allopurinol four months ago and last week I asked to be placed back on it. Yes I did get a very bad gout attack from it but perhaps it will help reduce my uric acid from the carnivore foods I consume. I limmit myself to hamburger patties, eggs, and sardines. I did start taking fermented cod liver oil as well as Coqten as the beta blocker they have me on depletes my levels of Coq10. My goal is to reverse heart failure. I'm still young and while I have lost tons of weight at 180 pounds I still have another 200 to loose. I'm still over 400 pounds. My kidneys work very well.

Thanks for the video. This really helps. I will stick with fish and fish oil supplements as part of my uric acid reduction strategy and keep using my meter to check my progress.

Never had gout untill i started a strict carnivore diet, zero omega 6, i supliment with cod liver oil and vitamin D3 and now i am suffering from gout. Can you shed light on that and what can be done abt it?

I don't understand.
About a year ago I was watching one of your videos about the inbalance of Omega 3 - 6 ratios and you clearly stated NOT to supplement with fish oils, but to reduce the amount of Omega 6 you ingest. Have you now changed your mind on the supplements? And if so why? Aren't they highly inflammatory? Because Omega 3 oils are very prone to oxidation, and would actually be more harmful in the human body than any benifit?
I'm never going to supplement. I live in QLD Austrralia, and am very fortunate to have access to very fresh seafood and eat fresh Oysters, Scallops with roe but don't eat much other fish other than canned scottish wild caught sardines in water.
Your MSPF is wrong too, you need to have a bigger meal of Protein in one sitting rather than spreading it out 3-4 times a day. 25g of protein in one sitting doesn't have enough leucine 2.5mg to promote muscle protein synthesis, you need 35- 50g protein animal source in one meal, more from plant sources to promote muscle protein synthesis.
People need to move, Human body was made to move, such a shame we've become so lazy.
I eat 3 meals in a 6-8 hour window, big breakfast generally steak and 6 eggs, 300 - 400grams of fruit thats like 1 mango and 3x 1/4 slices of watermelon about 3 hrs later then dinner about 2pm. I mow lawns all day, push mowwing, I go to gym at 5am 5-6 days a week. I feel great. I'm 53 72kgs and eat about 160-200g protein a day, the fruit I eat inbetwwen is because its refreshing and helps me keep hydrated and is protein sparing. Our climate is simular to Hawaii.

I accept Omega 6 oils from seed oils are dangerous but how about Omega 6 oils consumed when eating something like walnuts? Still the same danger? As they are unlikely to be oxidised and highly processed are they any safer? If so, how much safer? What would be a safe amount to consume daily?

Am amazed, but a little perplexed. Am retired in Mexico, lost 150lbs ketovore now strict OMAD carnivore 3 months. Having gout attacks again after 2 yrs without. My labs UA 9.2mg/dL. Only explanation is the quality of meat? Everything else has been eliminated! Walmart meat, unfortunately not Grass fed/finished. Asked doc for omegas ratio, treated me as if I was a space alien. What do you suggest please? Thankyou so much for the information.

Hello, I've come to write you this message because I've been on a ketogenic diet for 1 year now, avoiding foods with purines and eating 1 can of sardines daily, rich in omega 3, while never eating anything with omega 6, and yet, no matter how much I want to, I have too much uric acid... 6.9mg/dl recently and 7.4 3 months ago... I don't eat fruit or sugar, I'm literally on less than 10 grams of sugar a day, why do I have these worries? Asbolutely no Alcohol too... Is it genetic at this level? Ty

The last time I was in to see my doctor I asked to have my omega 6/3 ratio tested. To get the info we needed to send my blood off to another facility and get a whole lipid panel workup, so it didn't happen. How can I find a blood testing facility that will determine my omega 6/3 ratio?

I think fructose is at least 80% of the problem.
Since I got my A1C into the 5.0 range and TG in 70s by eating less fat, ironically by going carnivore, my UA is in the 3s and 4s. Been like this two months now.
I dont eat fructose, so what I was making from my mildly high BG was enough to be a problem.
