It's all about timing.. and really knowing your songs. .

I saw a dj on a crew ship just playing music and the crowd loved him. I don't think anyone was worried about mixing, most of them were drunk. 🤤

I appreciate this as I’ve seen different DJs on Twitch, and you can definitely tell the difference between a really great mix and just hopping onto the next song. I have CDs from the early 2000s that just hop. 😂

If you are in Germany they like wild mixes from time to time… the whole “never let them know your next move” thing

I needed to know this. Thank you, I thought I was slick beat matching going into the next song 😂

this has nothing to do with beatmatching. you can also do super smooth transitions when you sync. it depends more on rhythm of the elements, the scale and the energy of the track to make it a cool transition. What i am wondering the most about is that people really need to think about where they start transitions. you can creat so much with loops, filters, echoes and verbs that you can basicly desolve the initial track structure to mix where ever you want (there are parts where you not want to do so) but you can. but beatmatching isnt the main key to that.

Honestly I know where to mix. Any song. Any place. Pro DJs understand the math behind music. Amateur DJs like to collide verses and are off count a lot when they don't.

Here is an advice:
Each time you play they are other DJs, Club Owners, organisers and talent agencies listening and judging your skill based on the music you play and mix.

I mix in the break down of the song and it's good most of the time

very well put on this short 👍

Totally depends on the crowd too. I like to mix songs whose keys match from time to time, and put a bunch of effort into cool transitions between them, but nobody really notices lol.

its common sense. thats why there are intros breaks verses choruses etc... obviously when you mix you want it to sound like a song. not like you just randomly started playing a different song.

Timing and phrase mixing is all I needed to know and I am and was always ready, and thanks to rekordBox mobile 4.0 I've learned a lot from it from the comfort of my mobile phone :))

It’s not about lazy dj but so many don’t have enough knowledge about the right way to do transitions and in what moment of the song. So now let’s come back to lazy djs .😛 There is some things about lazy DJs : Sitting on chair when they play . This is number one ! Also I never seen any professional DJ siting . For good preforming dj should at least stand behind equipment . For better work will be helpful move a little to the beat to feel the music more and better and it also looks better for the audience. Next lazy djs point is playing pre record mix set, Number 3 . It’s a Using sync and often finishing all transitions with backspin 😉Sorry everyone for my English 😛
