ABOUT THIS VIDEO

I know people have been talking a lot about Zenless Zone Zero difficulty and how braindead easy it is in the early to mid game. Well, I have some news for you - I recently unlocked the final Hollow Zero challenge - Withering Garden and you can also enable here the 11 modifiers which significantly increase ZZZ difficulty, to the point that even I have trouble completing it :D

So let me share everything I've learned about the hardest challenge in ZZZ.

I’ve honestly been really enjoying ZZZ. Seems the people that hated it at launch either quit or kept playing and changed their minds

Ive been having so much fun with ZZZ. The combat gets pretty challenging later on and I havent even got so far in the hollow zero yet

Managing assist points is super important, i think spamming parries can be fun since they feel cool and earlier on its not a big deal. But once things are ramping up, it becomes important to choose which attacks should be parried and can be best punished, and when to focus on dodge attacks since they are pretty strong too. I think early on some people get baited by easier enemies and complain the game is just mashing m1, which is not even close, and not managing assist points i think is like one level above that. You don't think about it a ton until it matters a lot. Using regular swaps and focusing on animation canceling while it's safe to do so is pretty fun to learn, and managing iframes too.

Im loving the combat in this game, and there's a ton of depth thats insanely fun to learn and improve at. Im excited for time to pass and more characters to be introduced, im enjoying who we have already (and the only S ive hit is koleda lol) so getting more teams to learn cool combos and juggles for sounds awesome. I don't spend much money so i tend to acquire characters over time, or at least thats how i was with genshin so i assume it will be the same. Im like an occasional welkin with one or two battle passes type of player. Currently saving since i dont care much for Ellen, and am interested in our upcoming banners so I'll probably be expanding my roster in like a week lol.

Why the fuck does every game have to be Elden Ring or Punishing Grey level of difficulty? ZZZ has a gradual difficulty curve and I love it and the combat is not crazy brutal to the point of it feeling like I have to know every move of the enemy or learn the game by heart to even play the basic stuff. If i wanted to do that then I will go play such games. Damn whats with people and this EVERYTHING needs to be challenging and shit?

A typical case of Never judge a book by its cover or in this case, Never judge a gacha game by its first few hours.

The difficulty is intentionally lowered at the beginning to make sure casual players arent scared away. And then the difficulty spikes up.

All in all ZZZ has a bright future. It has a unique gameplay and the battle, animations are top notch.

Good video, interesting to see such a brutal optional difficulty check in place. It's hilarious though, people ask for harder content, and when it's presented they still aren't happy. this community man. Even if this gets "too easy" when we are at max level with agents, its still a good thing to see, and hoyo can easily expand on this. ZZZ has exceeded my expectations in every way since launch, the bar people have set for themselves is unrealistically high and i don't know why. Personally i can't stop playing it.

Game doesn't even have a "SINGLE PATCH" and people just hate and called the game easy.
While me who cant even unlock end game content cuz it too hard. 😅

I'm honestly loving the game a lot. I was hesitant to try it at first because of all the hate some content creators were spreading (I mostly follow WuWa CCs), but since I started playing last week, ZZZ has quickly become the game I play the most lol

You should try the shield resonia they are really good for survival and can give you damage buffs.

The combat is fairly simple and yes I acknowledge that it becomes a lot more than just button mashing in the form of smart utilisation of parry/dodge and chain for optimal dps and for S grade results. However, the Tv exploration is not for me sadly. Simple or not, combat was quite fun. But other aspects of the game didn’t appeal to me much. Hope you all have a great time. I think ZZZ definitely has huge potential to be a big presence in the gacha space.

What caught me surprised is that I enjoy this gacha game because it feels like a single-player RPG, where I can play it casually and slowly. Pretty relaxing at times too, sometimes forgot hours have passed.

What worse is in this challenge elite enemies are annoying af, i mean that giant robot paired with heavy gunner or the teleporting ethereal put my party on low before i reach nineveh

Man, people have beej too harsh on ZZZ and thats because Elden ring DLC leaves an aftertaste craving for difficulty and WuWa took inspiration from their boss fights for didficulty so that aftertaste took a different shape, and somehow people were expecting ZZZ to follow suit? Did they not reflect on the patterns of the companies they are made by? Elden Ring comes from the Souls Series and Fromsoft is known for making really high difficulty combat games. WuWa is made by Kuro has made previously really difficult enemies within PGR and its fights like in Tower of Babel and Norman. And then they look at ZZZ which is made by creators of HI3rd, Genshin, and HSR, which are very casual except Hi3rd which still lends itself to artificial difficulty and forgiving dodges and game mechanic.

ZZZ is spectacular and its only because people thought to comapre the game tailored to a mroe casual audience to a game made for sweats that it disorients their view of it and warps the concensus of the game.

And honestly, I like ZZZ more than WuWa. Sometimes, it gets boring doing open world exploration, and Id prefer a more immersed content like the puzzles within the TV system, or hanging out with the playable characters, or even just do the hard story missions to max our your style points.

The WuWa vs ZZZ war is really cringe honestly. Not the same type of game nor designed for the same type of audience. Noe does it have the same type of setting, environment, or in story depth.
ZZZ story has been more grounded and smaller scale emphasis that focuses more on the characters rather than Thanos-level conflicts and invasions. ZZZ combat is more emphasized on style points and forceful approach on foes when WuWa combat is more emphasized on skill expression, (style points remain minimal), and a resistance approaxh against foes where you are more focused on defending and then unkeashing your rotations when a window is open for you to attack.

Both are enjoyable in their own fashion. I believe ZZZ will retain more daily interest in the routinely things since dailies are just so much easier, more chill, and stamina spending is more flexible especially with custom combat simulations. I believe the style point factor will bring more enjoyment on the daily than the skill expression factor in WuWa with waveplate spending. WuWa overworld bosses arent really challenging so skill expression is weaker there, while you can still find fun defeating small fry in the areas where you spend stamina or you can micromanage rotations and whatnot.

The strategy element of ZZZ allows for more practice in the routinely stamina spending areas so ZZZ ends up more fun on the daily

Coming from games like Sekiro, DMC5, Stellar Blade and Nier. This game hits just the right spot with its quick gameplay and goofiness.

Loving the parry mechanic and dodging makes things so much easier when being ganked. This is the first gacha game that I genuinely enjoy rather than forcing myself to play it because of the rolls. Story is pretty decent and characters don’t feel so bad regardless of who I have on the team. Play style matters more than characters tbh.
