New Vee Rubber trials tyre on the WR450, new Metzeler knobby on the 300exc.

Both running 8psi, WR has a Rekluse Pro, similar rider skill level and the trials tyre wins time and time again. Worth the trouble if you have a spare wheel and like rooty, rocky technical riding (can't beat a knobby in the fast, wheel spinning stuff).

(Yes we spell it tyre not tire in New Zealand).

You may like a trials tire for where you ride but I still like a good mid soft knobby better. The trials tire doesn't clean out and doesn't work in off camber especially in clay mud. .at least around here. To each their own .. I like your vids . It's nice riding over there. Thanks for posting.

@woodsrider117 We still run knobbies for the fast, open, rocky riding but for tight, technical, rooty tracks we've yet to find anything better than a trials tyre.

Nice vid dude! Did you make it up that steep rocky part where the video stops? Me and a mate couldn't make it.... :) That's the Rollercoaster Track right? As you might have noticed from my comments/questions on your other videos, I'm pretty new to this area and trying to get a sense of the layout. Love it out there, wish I could ride more! As previously stated, I'd really like to ride with you guys some time. Cheers, Merlin
