This came out at a time where post-credits scenes were unusual, so this was a genuine surprise at the time to anyone who didn't leave the theater once the credits rolled. Thanks to the MCU, we sit through the credits of any movie to watch for a teaser, so it makes perfect sense for Deadpool to reference this.

When I showed "Bueller's Day Off" to my 9 and 11 year old grandkids...and they saw this ending, they told me..look, grandpa, he copied Deadpool...😂..btw, they loved it... actually texted only a few times while watching it...and to my amazement my older grandkid predicted the line by Ferris..
"You killed the car"
