Elon Musk Revealed Bigger Starship BOOSTER V2 Installed Raptor V3 Launch Next Year!
We often focus on the evolution of Starship, from V2 to V3, with much of the attention centered on the spacecraft itself. However, achieving a truly transformative new version requires significant advancements in Super Heavy, the rocket’s critical booster. After a year of remarkable progress with Super Heavy, Elon Musk has officially revealed the timeline and key upgrades for its next iteration.
Meanwhile, SpaceX’s Falcon 9 booster continues to set new records for reusability, offering a benchmark for the Starship Booster to surpass in the future. Join us as we explore these exciting developments on today’s episode of Great SpaceX.

The year 2024 has been pivotal for SpaceX, filled with both challenges and milestones. Among the most notable achievements was the successful return and capture of the Super Heavy booster by the Chopstick mechanism. This marked a turning point for Starship development and set the stage for a new era in reusability. With this accomplishment and the transition to Ship V2, anticipation is building for the debut of Super Heavy V2.
For now, the upcoming Flight 7 will feature a combination of Booster 14 (B14) and Ship 33 (S33). Notably, B14 is still part of the V1 design, which raises the question: when will Super Heavy V2 finally make its debut? According to Elon Musk, the answer is 2025.

Development of the next-generation boosters has already begun, with hardware for B15 emerging in June and B16 following in October. However, there are still questions about their design. The B15 features a longer liquid oxygen (LOX) section, but its forward dome and grid fin positions closely resemble the V1 design. This suggests that B15 may not be the long-awaited V2 version.
Instead, attention is shifting to B16, which appears to be the more likely candidate for the first V2 booster. Various components of B16 have already been spotted, including the common dome, LOX tank, LOX section, downcomer, aft section, and several ring clusters. The LOX section, referred to as A4:4, is especially intriguing because it could make B16 slightly taller than its predecessors. However, the forward section, a key component that would confirm its status as a V2, has yet to appear.

To be resolved, thank you.

V2 aggregate stack is 404 feet, for those of us who really can't visualize metric. Think of it, the machine is pushing a tenth of a mile tall.

@3:07 2nd flight "April or May next year" ... someone isn't paying attention... there's supposed to be 25 launches next year. The launches won't be 2-3 months apart, obviously! And yes, Full V2! SpaceX has a habit of flying the latest design and scrapping the old ones even if they were flight ready.

Instead of bigger rockets for launching from the ground, how about orbital construction yards.

Will Tower A become obsolete once V2 Starship comes into play (because of size difference) ?

i wonder what happened to the booster they caught, i figured they would of reused it after some repairs.

what if SpaceX took it upon themselves to get to that water ice on the moon and make their own oxydizer on the moon that way they'll only need to carry methane in their tankers is that doable? make a rig that could go on a cybertruck (moon version)

History Repeats it's self. At least it echo's.
a V2 rocket

The V-2, also known as the Aggregat 4 (A-4) by the German Army Ordnance, was developed between 1936 and 1942 by scientists led by Wernher von Braun.
