Elon Musk has revealed the time-frame SpaceX Starship will first arrive at Mars. Today we dig it a little, do a little math, and get this time frame down to the exact month and year Starship will need to leave our beautiful blue marble of a planet, Earth!

Q: Are you ready to step foot on Mars?
Q: Would you be one of the first to leave Earth to help colonize Mars?
Q: Do you think the time-frame holds water?

What i really appreciate about you and this channel is that you don’t speak like there’s no tomorrow. You keep the tempo reasonable and you keep the topics interesting. Thank you very much for that.

I was in grade school when Sputnik flew, to see a manned landing on Mars, in my lifetime, would be a kick.

I think a base on the moon should follow soon after. Surely the ultimate goal would be to build ships on the moon and launch from there.

For my entire life (58 years old) humans visiting Mars has always been 20 years away. That’s also been the case with clean fusion energy as well. We will be there in 20 years. Hopefully, this time it’s different.
I have no doubt Musk is going to do everything he can to make this a reality- but human lifetimes are not that long. When he passes will the next SpaceX CEO have the same goals? I really hope so🙏

The moon was tough in 1969. Mars is even tougher. Fuel is the issue as you need a lot and a lot to slow back down for Mars. Some say why mars over the moon. Mars has some atmosphere and more gravity.

Imagine the human characteristics that are required for this adventure. Those individuals are among the children being evaluated today for the Mar venture.

We may not need to ship as much pre-built technology as we imagine. It might be more efficient to build what we need on site.

In my mind's eye, I have questions like "Is this a one-way trip?", or "What is the return plan?". Rescue ship? Are we going forward confidently or with a measured risk assessment?

Joe, you narrate ".. go further away from the sun", you should say "*farther* away from the sun" because actual distance is correctly referred to as "farther". Further means additionally, as in furthermore.

Just trying to make your podcasts to be more perfect than they already are. I love all of your videos and look for them every day. 🙂

Once the system was proofed out, I would love to be a passenger. Not sure I will live to that point though.
