I have no sympathy for Rush, but I do have for the innocents he took with him.

They didn't feel physical pain but I'm sure the emotional pain was just as painful knowing they were going to die if they suspected it

In all honesty if you want to MacGyver a submarine don't expect it to last long

They knew they were in trouble for some 20 minutes before they imploded as they tried to return to the surface, unsuccessfully.

The energies involved in this implosion are staggering. The water will instantly accelerate up to around 580 mph once the pressure is removed by the collapsing CF . If this water travels 2m before filling the void this is about 50 Mega Joules of energy or the same as 12 kg of TNT going off . I just do not believe the US Navy did not know about this immediately. This especially true because an implosion wave starts with a noticeable negative pressure deviation whereas and explosion pulse starts with a big positive deviation.

……they became ‘red mist’, then marine creatures’ food………RIP all………

It's amazing it could get that hot, even momentarily that far down in the cold water...

It is easy to say but hard to accept….they took a big chance and lost.

What I find crazy is how these people can say that the passengers didn’t suffer no pain bc the implosion happened so quick like they experienced this type of shit and survived to tell about it, don’t nobody know what them people felt in the couple of minutes… one thing about it is the human body recognize harm before it’s about to happen

5 guys locked in a tiny tube for hours. Locked from the outside. What if they had to pass gas?

It is ominous that even when contact was lost they continued to think it was okay until they missed the return time. We’re they used to having a problem with every dive so it seemed normal for something to go wrong. This is the first time I’ve heard bits of the pressure chamber began to show on the surface.

Rush surely knew that certifying his craft would restrict it's allowed depth, and he only had to guess how that would turn out. btw, Franz Reichelt set out to demonstrate his innovation the hard way too. 🙂

I seen on the making of the hall that it had the carbon fiber wrapped around a 1 and a half inch stainless steel tube (So that was the inner part)

There's no doubt that they knew that the vessel was in trouble and could hear the carbon fiber cracking. They would have had time to get their scuba masks and snorkels on, but probably not enough to equalize their ears to the pressure. At that depth it would be difficult to hold your breath for more than a few minutes.
