As a tip for PETG filament, it is best to print the spool in ABS, so that you can dry the filament later without the spool itself becoming deformed.

This is exactly what I needed to know! I have the same problem. Bambulab filament with spool is always out of stock, so this is a great way to get around it! 👍🏻

Great to know i can print spools on my A1 mini!

Nice! Only, if you pay 20 dollar for a 1kg roll. 120gr is not 1, 20 but 2, 40. Still an economical choice to print yourself :)

Same problem for me. That's exactly what i was looking for. Thx

While I do not really see the need for 3D printing you own spool, unless you also change the spool size, I do appreciate the guide on how to change the refill on an existing spool

With regards to the filament availability, I have to say that I cannot complain here in Europe. Or I have been lucky ^^

Quick video and straight to the point, perfect content. Needed to know if it was worth it to buy the refills and you answered my question, I’ll be buying the refills now :)

If you print these spools with PLA will they not soften and warp in a filament dryer ?

Hey im going to buy a A1 printer and will be printing on mukticolor.
Is the addition spool holder necessary or can i print it on my own? The spool holder nearly increases the price of the printer by 50% hence my doubt.

If you buy the bambu lab filament with the spool, is that spool the type that can be used for the refills? Or do you have to buy refillable specific spools?

Had no idea that spools are printable on A1 mini

Just don't print the spool of petg, at least the tansparent petg I used is way too flexible.

This is crazy! How is it that people are satisfied to have to print their own spools so they can respool filament? I do not support companies like BambuLab that enforce proprietary materials. I have an Elegoo Neptune 3 Pro and I can hang and print any brand or size of spool without needing to respool.

It’s always cheaper to buy than make. Always.
