Re-spool PolyTerra to BambuLab Spool for AMS

I have found the printing of spool edges for my PolyTerra Cardboard spools to work in the BambuLab AMS rather time consuming and irritating. So I took the spool apart and inserted it to the reusable Bambu spool. To get rid of any slack I nailed it tight. Works perfect for me. Hope it helps!

I have been doing this trick for my PolyLite PETG. I been having pretty good success not having to put a nail in the side.

Wondering if a printed insert inside the cardboard roll would help keep it centered and avoiding the nail

Also side note for the same price (actually cheaper in some cases) you can buy the Bambu refills, but polymaker offers more colors so this is still neat.

Use a plastic nail to reduce the chance of damage if the steel nail works its way out.

Do NOT follow this video, I tried to respool a polyterra 1kg onto a bambu spool, it was hard to even close the 2 sides together, and inside the AMS while printing it came loose, creating a spaghetti, I used scisors to untangle it, and now I have one big spaghetti mess of a roll, unable to use it in the AMS. There are adapters available for Polyterra that you should use instead. This video does not mention them, and as a beginner I was not aware they exist. Thanks Ruud, for messing up my spool.
