As a Saint Lucian I’ve never seen a stray donkey 😂

The camo rule is because we have a special unit of the police force that wears it, and so to prevent any mix ups, it's not allowed. The "don't forget your cash", is not because we have our own currency... it's because although the north of the island is more tourist centered, and thus more likely to accept card payments, the rest of the island that visitors may be interested in visiting may not have the machine to facilitate card payments, and so it is advised, just in case you want to purchase a knick-knack or visit some place, that you carry cash so you don't end up walking about looking for an ATM (which can be scarce once you're away from a town or the city). And we don't actually have our "own currency", it is used by many of the eastern Caribbean countries, hence the name "Eastern Caribbean Dollar." Payments in most places are accepted in us dollars as well btw.

they do not have their own currency. they use a multi-national currency called The East Caribbean Dollar. but you can pay with US dollars everywhere and you get a decent exchange rate everywhere. at the time of writing banks allegedly give you 2.68 (i never used banks) while everyone else gives you between 2.6 and 2.65 - which is very very fair. thanks Saint Lucians!
i heard there are different rates on different islands and that Saint Lucia has the best - but i never double-checked. so technically you do not even have to exchange your US dollars - even small food stands accept them without batting an eye.

Ilol, where did yall get this list. The only correct thing is no camouflage and not petting strays. Saint Lucia has its own currency but you can buy stuff with USD, CAD, GBP or EUR in major supermarkets. On the street youll be subject to the street vendor's rate though. We don't have stray donkeys. If you see a "stray" donkey, you're probably trespassing someone's property.

St Lucia DOES NOT have it's own currency. The Eastern Caribbean Currency.( EC) is used in all EC islands, including st. Lucia.
Only Jamaica (JMD) & Trinidad & Tobago (TT$) has their OWN currency.
