MicroNugget: How to Use WordPress on AWS

In this video, Jeremy Cioara covers how to set up WordPress on Amazon Web Services in less than five minutes. He’ll rapidly walk through each of the steps, launching an instance and configuring the security settings to show you everything you need to know to establish a WordPress presence on AWS.

Jeremy begins this overview at the AWS Management Console, then launches an instance and shows you the settings he prefers.

You’ll see how to download keyset pairs, then create a new security group for your WordPress site. Not all of these settings are going to be precisely what you need, but Jeremy will demonstrate how to customize them to fit your specific application. He’ll open SecureCRT and create a brand new session using the public DNS name that he just created, then add the correct public key.
