I turned 27 last year... being in your "late 20s" is a different level of pain 😭

I´m 26 starting to be successfull by being disciplined and spending my time wisely only recently.
Every morning you wake up you have a chance to do everything differently than you have on all days before in your life.
And things change fast.
You know what the right things are. Get up early, heat healthy, go running, do a few pushups daily, be nice to people, put your phone away while you work and do what you are paid for.
It wont come tomorrow or in a week but I promise you that it will get better and better every month you act like that.
And dont every victimize yourself.
Even if you have been thrown in the deepest of shit you wont get out crying how unfair that was.
Get angry. Get out. Fight back.
Never believe that a situation is unchangable.

Thank you so much Nick...I'm 26 and the things you have said really hit home...I really am contemplating what I did the last 5 - 6 years and how detrimental some of my past decisions were when I was younger simply because I never thought things through or saw the bigger picture, if I could see where I am now back then I would have done things so much differently and followed your advice. You're right, you just cannot take time for granted especially because of how quick it goes, in such an uncertain world preparation for unexpected change is a lifesaver and will be the difference to success and failure in some cases. I will take your advice on board homie!

Thanks for the solid advice. I have definitely made my fair share of mistakes when I was in my early twenties. But it's good to be reminded that it's never too late to make progress.

Accepting longevity is your friend, such as investing, developing skills, not letting negative outcomes get to you and just know there is tomorrow.
Well put video wish i had someone give me these 5 tips

1) Don't expect too much. Some expectations are unrealistic. e.g. If you can't sing you are unlikely to become a famous singer. Another, many people don't expect that adult life requires as much effort as it does if you got through school easily.
2) Financial Education. Take initiative to learn about finances as school doesn't teach you these things. Also, day trading is basically gambling (Don't do that). Instead invest in a portfolio of diversified stocks.
3) Things can change unexpectedly and quickly. You do not have full control over your life. E.g. your friends will change, your career might change or a world wide pandemic can come from nowhere. Prepare/ brace yourself for this. Positive change outside your control can happen to like job opportunities and relationships.
4) Social behaviour. Don't think about what other people think of you, work on the best version of yourself. Remove negative people and environments from your life. Do not burn bridges with people, especially with people in the same industry as you.
5) Spend your time wisely. Time flies. Cherish your time as it is the most important resource, it will feel like time moves faster the older you get.

The biggest advice I could give to kids that feel so young is don’t make fun of the people that are “old” because you’re going to be there before you know it

Hi Nick, you seem remarkably self aware. I came for your leetcode videos. I am a much older female, and the one advice I will give to someone in their 20’s is to read books about people at different stages of life. Most young people cannot imagine their priorities changing, but social scientists have found there are very reliable patterns that people go through. So reading about life stages in your 20’s will help you prepare for what’s to come. Also in your 20’s to early 30’s, it very, very important to find your life partner. It’s much easier to do at this stage than at a later stage. You may need 2-3 tries to find a good match, so you should give yourself some extra time. Anyway, best of luck. Something to look forward to, most social scientists says people become happier and more content in their 60’s. So life will get better if you make it to your 60’s.

I would say for most your 20’s are the years you get humbled by life

That's true about change. I'm lucky to have 5 childhood friends all the way to 30 years old. Then all my childhood friends went to their separate ways and moved to two different states and two different countries. 1 of my childhood friends came back to our hometown.
