Got out in 2013 with 70 sat and waited bc I was nervous the VA would reduce me. Filed for increases back in 2021 and got 100 in 22.

I put my wife and 2 sons through college earning their masters degree with Chapter 35. Here in Tennessee I don't pay property taxes, my hunting and fishing license is free, DV tags for life. Mortgage is paid in full! I've been very, very fortunate. I've been 100% P/T since 1981, I only applied once and everything I've ever applied for with the VA has been granted. I know for a lot of you it's a struggle, I wish you good luck. Find a good Veterans Service Officer to help you apply for benefits, that's what I did and they were extremely helpful!

You can also get Disabled Veterans (DV) License plates, and a handicap placard. DV plates, in Tennessee, do not have to be renewed, and, both, the plate and placard allow you to park in the handicap parking spaces.
