The 2015 Ford Mustang is a big departure from the outgoing generation, from a revamped design to an all-new engine. CNET's Brian Cooley meets up with Ford executives in Detroit and gets an inside look.

The correct retort to the mantra "no replacement for displacement" is.... turbo and super charging. They put more air into the cylinder just like displacement does. A 2.0 liter pushing 30 psig has more "displacement" than a 5.0 pushing 0 psig.

 It's nice to see muscle cars are now designed with cornering and braking in mind -- the combination of handling characteristics and the traditional massive power from muscle cars will make this a pretty decent track car.

I love how disappointed Brian sounds when the designer tells him that the tribar tail lights are the one thing that make it a Mustang. Brian wanted a better answer.

This car's design is a masterpiece. I'm not getting that 4 cylinder turbo engine version tho. I want that V8 GT 8 speed automatic version. I'm tossing my '13 Civic crapbox for this work of art. I'm saving every penny.
