Simple and delicious homemade oatmeal cookies in 5 minutes! Easy to make and so flavorful.

Prep time: 5 min.
Baking time: 20-25 min.
Yields: ~12 cookies

Ingredients:
* 1 1/4 cups Oat flour (150 g)
* 3/4 cup Whole wheat flour (100 g)
* 1/3 cup Sugar (80 g)
* 1 teaspoon baking powder (5 g)
* 1 large egg
* 1/4 cup Melted butter (50 g)
* 2 1/2 tablespoons Maple syrup (40 g)
* 2 1/2 tablespoons Sour cream (40 g)
* 1/4 teaspoon salt
* 1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional, but highly recommend)

Instructions:
1. In a mixing bowl whisk together oat flour, whole wheat flour, baking powder, cinnamon, just to combine.
2. In a separate bowl lightly beat egg and sugar, add maple syrup, melted butter, sour cream, salt and mix to combine.
3. Add the flour mixture into the wet ingredients , stir with spatula.
4. Scoop 2 tablespoons of the batter and roll balls (~12 balls)
5. Space balls 2 inches apart on prepared baking sheet. Flatten halfway with your fingertips.
6. Bake in a preheated 350F (175 C) oven for 20 to 25 minutes until the edges are lightly golden brown. Do not over-dry them!
7. Remove from the oven and cool completely on a rack.

I baked these cookies yesterday and loved the taste. Thank you for the recipe. I made the following substitutions - used flax meal instead of egg, curds instead of sour cream and date syrup instead of maple syrup.

Hi, I substitute sour cream with Greek yoghurt and maple syrup for honey . Came out delicious but not as crunchy as your look. Also please did you flip the cookies, one side seems overly brown while the other side wasn’t please what can I do
