Lost In Space Jupiter 2 crash landing from Episode Island In The Sky re-cut & re-imagined.

Some effects replaced with latter season SFX and I have recut it in a different way than originally aired.

Still, to this day, this was one of the BEST crashes of a spacecraft ever filmed along with the score by John Williams made this crash of the Jupiter Two the most iconic in sci-fi history! No other show did such a painstaking detail of a crash landing and did it so majestically!

She was a tough old bird that Jupiter 2. The music score was brilliant, always got me when I was a little kid.

I was a 10 year old back in 1965, watching with wide-eyed wonderment at this incredible sequence on a 19 inch BW tv. The shots of the Jupiter II swooping over the alien landscape. The oh-so-cool engine sounds. The music. I was totally blown-away! It still amazes me today all these years later.

The Jupiter 2 is the only ship along with the sound of it's engines that I would want to be on..The best space ship ever made.

Phenomenal special effects to think this was 1964 and TV so the budget was a lot less than a movie just amazing what they can do and it still holds up today against computer generated stuff

Timeless sci-fi . The cast and the robot... The interior shots imply that the Jupiter 2 is bigger than the exterior shots show. June Lockhart, a Goddess of science fiction especially in that silver outfit and the girls... beautiful....!
And of course the B9 robot and The Chariot just phenomenal...!

I would have loved to have been in the studio to see the orchestra recording the dramatic music for this scene, simply thrilling to listen to.

It's 2021, and I still get a kick out of the scene. So well done, particularly given the tools available at the time.

I may be in the minority, but I like the earlier, darker episodes with the evil Doctor Smith better.

I like this re-imagining of the crash scene from "Island In The Sky." I like how there's more tension added by cutting things close, like Don entering the freezing tube, and Maureen strapping herself in. Excellent work! 😃
