Lost in Space - The Jupiter 2: Descent to the Lower Level

A quick ride down the elevator of the classic Jupiter 2 from 1965's "Lost in Space." The animation is a rough approximation of one of the sequences from the show's Pilot episode. The music is an excerpt of Prokofiev's 3rd Symphony. Model created in Cinema 4D. Rendered with Octane 3.

Imagine revisiting the Jupiter 2 almost 60 Years after we saw her for the first time.
It's Sweet to see her again..
Poignant that we had to say bye to her all those years ago ...
Bittersweet we didn't get more adventures with her ...

The ambient and background engine sounds are what really put the icing on the cake. It gives the impression that every bit and piece of the Jupiter 2 is a working machine putting out massive amounts of raw power at an endless rate in order to propel the Robinson's thru the heavens. Another awesome job by the one and only Ron Haselius.
