If it looks like a duck and quacks like one, too – well, you know the rest. That saying poses a problem for Ford’s all-electric Mustang Mach-E, which looks an awful lot like its namesake sports car, but that’s about where the similarities end. That’s not such a big deal, if we’re being honest, but with that emblem comes expectations.

That’s where the 2022 Ford Mustang Mach-E GT Performance Edition comes in. Where the rest of the lineup emphasizes the typical traits of an electric vehicle (EV) – efficient, quiet, and quick – this range-topper adds some excitement that extends beyond straight-line speed. It’s still not a sports car, that’s for sure, but this Mach-E is its own kind of special altogether.

Finally a reviewer that doesn't harp on that it shouldn't be called a Mustang. **Thumbs Up**. Picking up my GTPE this afternoon, wife already drives a Mach E First Edition and we have a 68 Mustang with a 289 standard H.

I own a 2022 Mock-E GT Performance and agree that the burst of speed is nice, but that's not the reason for the performance edition. It's the back road cornering. The GT absolutely shines in the corners. Most people believe that 0 - 60 miles per hour in 3.5 seconds is not worth the additional cost of the GT Performance. And they would be right, but again, that's not what you are paying for. It's the magna ride that separates the GT from other Mock-E's. The GT rocks the corners. Blue cruise is weird at first because control freaks will struggle mentally. However, once you get used to how Blue Cruise works It's very convenient for hands-free driving. There are so many reasons why I love my GT Performance. One huge benefit is having a full tank of gas or full battery every morning when I wake up ready to hit the road. I have a charging station at my home. Very convenient. For those who are not fans of the Mock-E that's ok. There's plenty of other vehicles in the world to choose from. Just enjoy the ride that fits your life style. My Ducati Penagali really rocks the corners and simply kicks my butt. Live to ride & ride to live!
