The Ford Mustang Mach-E GT Performance Edition ($90,680 in Canada as specced, $59,900 USD starting) is able to put a strong 480 horsepower and 634 lb-ft of torque to all four wheels. It has a claimed 0-60 time of 3.5 seconds and a 435 km range on a full charge. This is the beefiest and baddest of all Mach-E Mustangs - but it has the price tag to match. Thomas and James dive in to see what this AWD electric Mustang has to offer. We hope you enjoy the episode. Subscribe!!

I think that driving range should be measured like fuel economy, but instead of city/highway/combined mpg, do warm/cold/combined range in distance. Have the warm test be in sub optimal conditions and the cold test be 32F or below to be fair to everyone in every climate

The way that you abruptly end the videos on this channel is classic!!

"On a flat road, in California, downhill..." -I love you James.

Hot Take: The premium videos on the main channel should include this type of conversation between you two. Provides much needed depth.

Thank you! You both, Jason Camissa, and Harry’s Garage are the only YouTube auto review videos worth watching uninterrupted from start to finish.

The wireless carplay works great in my 2021 Chevy Trailblazer. It was terrible at first I actually turned it off and opted for wired because the audio would skip and stutter wirelessly but about 4 months into ownership GM did an OTA update and it's been great since no crashes, no stuttering just works as soon as I get in.

Thomas, "You have to turn it on!"
James, "That's always too much work for me."
That's why he's the single one, folks!

On top of the failed marketing this 5 seconds of full power thing makes it totally dead in the water to me. This is what happens when you have a narrow focus on something like 0-60 and decide that it's the only metric that matters. I am so glad you addressed the "5 second rule" as the majority of reviewers gloss right over and it's a really big deal to a performance enthusiast (aka the Mustangs target demographic).

You guys are very lucky to be able to live this life and drive all these cars. Just being able to have these conversations with each other discussing cars is a blessing! V jealous and keep it up

I would love to see Thomas revisit a M2 CS on this channel having owned an OG M2 for a bit now. It would be interesting to see how your opinion may have developed.

Ordered my M Mach E GT in March of this year. Chose it over Premium because better front fascia, cabin, seats and power. Chose it over Y because I liked the looks better. Not a fan of the blank front. S style better. I like sporty everyday cars. This replaces my v6 sedan that is going to my daughter. I still have my C4 vette for that V8 rumble. I’m a car guy. The Mustang styling is perfect for me and drew me in to the EV world. Wife really likes MME sequential tail lights.

I think when the Mach-E was introduced it might have been worth its price, and maybe even the GT version at the time. But many automakers are making competitive EVs now that match the Mach-E, at least as a daily driver. I think you really have to want the Ford to justify its price tag.

Spot on. We have the non-GT you tested and the weight is -considerable-. We did test drive the GT and I am really missing those seats 💔

James nails it on model choice - stick with the low to mid trims. Either long range trims in this (and most other EV's) are great they just need wider rims and tires.
Telsa sport models have silly wide rims and low profile rubber, like rediculous, people kill them all the time with curb rash and tire damage.

I’m super curious to see what James gets especially with gas prices.

I agree that the rear wheel drive long range is the best option to get.

The best way to feel the weight of a car is to drive it on loose snow. When I drove a Q7 for the first time on snow with no driver aids on, I really felt that "Hey, even if I press the brakes right now as I'm going 35 km/h sideways, I will still slide 15 meters sideways with no control ".

Had I not done that I would've probably continued driving heavy cars like SUVs on slippery surfaces like a Golf.

Owning my MME GT for 5 months, this is TOTALLY spot on, everything from power reduction, to weight, to crappy 1 Pedal drive. I didn’t love it and thankfully sold it for more than I paid. A true performance vehicle it is NOT. A fun town light to light grocery getter, it is….Sales are booming, and many who own these came from non performance vehicles so they are simply BLOWN away, but true performance enthusiasts quickly learn that there is a TON missing for its $73K+TTL without an ADM - and many of those enthusiasts have sold there’s that I know of
