This is a Motormouth couple car review of the all-electric Ford Mustang Mach-E Gt Performance SUV. The Mustang Mach-E GT Performance Edition in Cyber Orange This is the extended range model with a 91 kWh battery and e-AWD. It has 480 horsepower and 634 lb-ft of torque with 418 km/260 miles of EV range. It goes 0-100 km/h in 3.7 seconds and 0-60 mph in 3.5 seconds. TheFord Mustang Mach-E GT Performance Edition features a carbonized grey grille with an illuminated pony badge, GT badging, 19” front brakes with red painted Brembo calipers, e-latch doors, a black painted roof and 20” wheels. It also features a hands-free foot activated power liftgate, pony projection lamps and black painted side-view mirror caps. This model pushes the boundaries of what an electric vehicle offers performance wise giving you an exciting experience behind the wheel with the Magneride damping system and adaptive suspension for improved handling and performance. The Mach-E GT is engineered to deliver exceptional torque, grip and handling, it certainly doesn’t disappoint. The Mach-E GT comes standard with a 15.5” touchscreen with Sync 4A which is intuitive to use, a 10.2” digital driver display, 10-speaker B&O sound system, wireless charger, a heated steering wheel, driver seat memory, power folding mirrors and 8-way power front heated sports seats with ActiveX grey upholstery. These seats are extremely comfortable; they cradle your body and offer excellent thigh support for those long trips. There are two features the Mach-E is missing, ventilated front seats and heated rear seats, they are not available on any trim. BlueCruise, Ford’s hands-free driving offering is available in the Ford Co-Pilot 360 Active 2.0 package for $2,545 CAD. The package also includes, active park assist and a 360-degree camera with split view and front washer. When you add this package in Canada, the panoramic sunroof is automatically added for an extra $1,895 CAD. Unfortunately, I am not able to access the specs/trims on the US website, due to high demand, the 2022 Mach-E is sold out for and Ford is no longer taking orders. Limited orders may be available at select dealerships. The 2022 Mach-E GT Performance Edition starts at $83,495 CAD/$61,995 USD.
Price as tested: $88,685 CAD

LOL...Zach's rants and the banter between you both absolutely MAKES your videos and that is before we even get to your consistently excellent content. You both are always a 'have to watch'.

Totally agree with Zach . I cannot even think of buying a decent hybrid or EV with a $50, 000 budget for a car. So electrification is only for the elite still.

This thing is a beast. A friend has a GT performance and I have driven it several times. Good review guys.

How about offering the rebate only on models under 35k, to encourage the development of EV's that the masses can afford? I'm with you, why subside those who can afford expensive vehicles?

The door mechanism was tested in northern Canada in the middle of winter and they purposely let the car get frozen and the doors still opened because there is a shaft that pushes the door our and does not allow a person to close the door on their fingers after it is pushed out. Ford rated the doors down to -40F.

Great review. Really appreciate the metric conversion of the stats, Zack :)

That's one of the best designed SUV's I have ever seen. Beautiful lines.

Great review. 2 things: 1.) I've never had an issue with the door handles in teh frozen winter months. 2.) I also have the knuckle vent issue (Many won't notice because it definitely depends on when those vents are actually activated versus the foot wells).

I agree with the rant. If you can afford a car over $50K you should not be getting a government rebate. Thanks for the review.

No cold air on knuckles. I have the same issue as Zack. Also, the 10" display is viewed differently between you two because of height. Great work you two!

I'm 100% in agreement with Zach on his EV rebate rant.

Love the vehicle. I'm glad they went for a modern but not too overstyled look like many EVs have. It stands out enough but doesn't look outlandish and of course the performance is there to back things up. Great review.

The cool thing is the availability of the Magneride suspension system, but honestly the Mach-E is best enjoyed in the Premium ER AWD trim. It is at least $15k less and at 346hp it has more than enough power, not to mention the 60km more than the GT.

Really cannot get into the whole 'in your face iPad tablet stuck to the middle of the dashboard' look. I know a lot of vehicle manufacturers mount their touchscreens this way but it's just not for me. I much prefer the touchscreen to be integrated as part of the dash, like it is in the Hyundai Palisade. Great review as always Andrea and Zac. 👍

That screen looks weird mounted vertically IMO. I agree about cold air on the knuckles….our CX5 is the same. 😕
