I think you missed a detail. Always listening to music, specifically that one song you can hyperfixate on and have had on repeat for the last 6 weeks which you will never listen to again because you forgot the name of it.

I found the best job for my adhd. I install fiber optic cables and wifi. Aka, I climb up high on ladders all day long and spend a bit of time inside finishing the install. It's great for the dopamine, for the energy it burns and gives just the right amount of social, not too little but not too much. And, I get the perk of being paid while doing all of that.

I often fall into sequences of watching something or scrolling the Internet but each time it ends with exhaustion and a feeling of emptiness for me. To reset I turn off my phone and wander the beach for a couple of hours. In my case, the screen is the enemy

Actually music destroys my ability to focus (which is already weak) completely. I only listen to music when doing mundane things like chores or when strolling

I change, bath, work, drive etc etc with music on. It makes my work bearable!

These are the parts I miss before my Autism and CPTSD took over. But now I've learned to identify my issues thanks to lovely people like yourself leading to finally receiving each diagnosis one by one ❤ now I am learning and finding what's works for me, short term it's meds as I leArn better management skills.
