In this video I'm sharing 8 minimalist habits with you. I've developed these habits for myself with the values I learned from minimalism. After decluttering all my items I started adopting minimalism to more areas of my life. I thought about how I wanted to live my life and what I wanted to achieve. These 8 habits were the results with which my thinking came to action.
I'm sharing the habits I use to keep my house tidy and in order. Like putting everything away immediately after I've used it. This is a super easy habit is everything in your house has a place to store it (Like Marie Kondo suggests with the Konmari method). We're also discussing how I go about gift giving as a minimalist. We're talking about overcoming laziness by doing small tasks straight away. I'm sharing how I plan and organize my life. I prioritize a balanced lifestyle to keep me happy. I don't plan my week completely full with activities. I try to keep one day to myself every week to recharge and relax. I'm sharing how I've developed better eating habits and how it helped me overcome snacking and thinking about food too much.
We're also talking about habits when it comes to shopping. I try to find most of my items second hand. The very few items I can't find used, get bought new. Borrowing and renting is another way in which I try to be more sustainable as a minimalist. There are already enough items to be used on this planet. No need to buy anything new, especially when you are only planning on using it once.
The last habit I share is a more general one. I explain how I became more intentional with my decision making and how I'm taking more action to achieve my desired outcome.
I hope you enjoy and find some value in it!

At the risk of commenting too much on your videos, this one is wonderful too.

I think some people can think of habits and routines as constricting. But you show that they can be the opposite and allow you to breathe.

Especially what you say about having a place for everything, leaving space between things and getting the ‘5 minute’ tasks out of the way.

May I ask a question? When you do something do you focus on that thing alone? If cleaning just cleaning, if walking in nature just that and not listening to music? I’m trying to move to the ‘single-task’ mentality. In the past when I was doing something I thought boring, like cleaning, I would listen to a podcast or something. Now I am trying to single-task and do the single thing mindfully. But it is an adjustment.

I think it's nice you included something for everyone in this list: Small simple steps for everyone just starting out on their minimalism journey, general concepts that will always have room for improvement, and more advanced life skills that even seasoned minimalists can reflect on 💜💜

Thank you so much for expressing the essential rituals of becoming a real minimalist. A real minimalist should indeed have a conspicuous order, plan, system, timetable and action. The fundamental schedule of a day and week should be organized in accordance with the process in order to retain the major habits concerning the minimalism. The approaches which were unveiled by your mindset customarily inspires me in order to advance the efficiency and layout. It was totally a decent video about the minimalism. I really enjoyed each excerpt of this post. Cheers from frosty Turkey!
