I love that someone is talking about essentialism which is the true heart of minimalism. Too often people are led to believe that minimalism is just decluttering and they miss the whole amazing point.

As someone who moved to the 'cabin in the woods' (not quite but the idea) recently, life is still life. I love it here, and life has gotten an improvement, but it's not magic. I'm still me, I brought my bad habits with me. I'm still on my phone too much. I get tired and just put a pizza in the oven instead of washing cutting and cooking veggies from the garden, and they grow bad. Work is stressful, I fight over chores with my partner. Etc etc. We all need this, we all need healing. Being able to take a walk in the woods to help with that is such a blessing.

Learning how to say “no” did wonder for my mental health. 😊

For all those who long for the cabin life, I have been living in a cabin in the woods of Sweden for several years now and still face the same challenges.
It really is about priorities and focus...

Life is simple, but people tend to complicate it, chasing things they don’t need and forget to live life!❤

I appreciate that you addressed the recent rise in "cottagecore" content. It's so easy to forget that the content people create, images, stories, vlogs, snapshots, are heavily curated through editing to show only the rosy and glossy and highly aesthetic. I want everyone to have access to their natural areas and feel connected to nature, but I often worry that the simplistic ideas shown via social media let's us forget why "cottagecore" is actually so appealing. The effort to live in nature sustainably, with a strong balance of giving to the earth along with taking is what you don't see in the "cottagecore" content.
Anyway, I agree, essentialism is the way forward. I like to pair it with environmentalism so my priorities, plans, and goals align with a healthy and thriving planet <3

"Embrace minimalist habits and prioritize your financial well-being by investing in yourself. Simplify your daily routine, eliminate unnecessary expenses, and direct that energy towards building wealth. Every small step counts, from automating your savings to educating yourself on smart investing. Start today and reap the rewards of a secure financial future."

Thank you for this. My mother had a heart attack two weeks ago, she has recovered completely but it was a really tough experience for my family. My dog got sick, and I failed a class at school. My head was not were it was supposed to be, and almost triggered a depressive episode. Then this video showed up. Thank you Saida ❤️

Getting rid of most clothes in my closet, most apps in my phone, most effects in my editor, when you build around only what’s crucial to your life and strip away as much unneeded noise as possible…game changer for enjoying life imo. Consumerism is such a drag and holds you back from so many things, including just the ability to think more clearly/focused on what you love and are passionate about…keep it simple;)

"Living below your means" adjust your lifestyle, be frugal, budget, save and invest. This helped me as a 6 figure earner. I've grown over a million in retirement savings with this method

Such a healthy message. I do live a simple life in the mountains, and noticed I was sharing too much info of my daily views, and news. The result was too many opinions, and noise. I got off social media, canceled subscriptions for materialism, decluttering even more, and am now concentrating on self care.

I just want to add, that not every person can feel the "hell yes". If you are a fearful person for example, you might just feel "no" all the time. That doesn't mean you should say no all the time.

Thanks for your channel ❤️ I love these kind of videos even more than the cooking ones ❤️ but I love both.

This is such a cool coincidence! I was re-watching Mad Men and was so touched by Don's monologue in S4 E8: "We're ruined because we get these things we wished for we had". We want things, without ever asking ourselves why-and then have to battle the emptiness we are left with when we finally get them. Definitely a topic worth reflecting on.

The idea that if something is not a 'Hell yes!', then it's a 'No', is genius, and it has immediately helped me give an answer to something that was upseting and worrying me for days - thank you for that! Your content is always amazing, by the way.

I love living in my coastal city! Right outside my door is: corner store, Chase bank and a hair-stylist, a donut shop and a coffe shop, book store, 3 Asian restaurants ( Chinese, Japanese and Vietnamese) a real estate office, two more banks, an old school bar and also oil change place for cars. All within one block of where I live. Cannot imagine living in a cottage in the middle of a forest with no one around but I must admit it is relaxing watching the cottage videos.

I am not vegan, vegetarian or anything like that. I have thought about it, for health benefits, and I watch your videos religiously. I find peace and calm in your way and your voice, and would love to see more like this 💕
