When Should You Upgrade Your Gaming PC?

Meta pcs are the worst for that. Saying a 2060. is awful. I can still play Fortnite on my 1660ti all I care about

Yeah ive wanted to play open world games and all that for so long but my setup could never so im building an insane setup this year

I just want to upgrade my components so I can run VR on MSFS 2020 or 24 SMOOTHLY. I'm running an RTX 2060 for just over 5 years now.

Still got my 2070 from 2018, it can run cyberpunk with ray tracing. I dont play many current year games because they are so expensive, but it can run tekken 8 at 60fps which is all i need

I've built two budget gaming pcs for a friend and my daughter a couple years back as gifts. Both use i7 6700 processors. Recently upgraded my daughters pc from a 1660 Super to a RTX 2070 Super (she plays stuff like Plague Tale, The Sims 4, DayZ). My friends I bumped up from a GTX 1060 6gb to a RTX 2060 KO. He was only gaming on a PS4, and is now able to play Jedi Survivor, Resident Evil 4, CP 2077, all the Wolfenstein titles and most games out now except maybe Indiana Jones (due to the vram limit). Both are extremely happy with their builds and game on them constantly.

The real solution is being poor, your forced to be happy with it. Still rocking a Intel Xeon E3-1245 v5 and a Radeon RX 480.

If you're not a sweaty gamers and not making money with it, 1060 is fine.

My pc is about 13 or 12 years old aaaannd it can't run 3d games but I finished wolfestien old blood in that pc and now I can't play 3d games

lol l went from an intel hd 4000 pc to an rx6750xt rig but upgraded 3 months later coz of the fomo
Now got an rx7800xt but people in sub reddits seem to be saying l should get a 7900xtx just so l can be safe for the next 2yrs since they are saying 16gb vram isnt enough for gaming anymore 🤦‍♂️

Delusional. It’s like saying a kid in africa who eats 1 meal a day is happy, means there shouldn’t be any change? Dude, you don’t know how much you’re missing out. Path tracing is such a game changer, not to mention OLED, HDR. Also the best way to decide if you need an upgrade is if video settings are annoying you by how visually bad they look to reach 60 fps or your performance is a stutterring mess because running out of vram
