Yes. The XP series is not meant for automotive applications. That's why I recommended the D3100. It is in the same amperage range and cranking amps. They are great power cell batteries.

The XS Power XP3000 is recommended either as a secondary battery or for marine applications, if you want to replace your stock battery we would go with the XS Power D3100.

We recommend measuring the dimensions of your battery compartment and comparing to the dimensions of the battery. It may not require much modification at all. If you do not want to go that rout, we recommend replacing it with the size battery that is recommended by your vehicle's manufacturer.

multiples batteries can help but need to replace alternator first one w a higher output of amp

You forgot to stipulate that this comment assumes the stock alternator can provide sufficient ouput to both keep the battery charged and power the vehicle + accessories. In the case of most compact and sub-compact vehicles, where alternators generate 80A (or less!!), a high-powered stereo will severely tax the stock electrical system.

Anyone experiencing voltage sag in their car's electrical system would do well to consider upgrading their battery AND their alternator.

Thanks for the vids!

The closest battery for your needs at that price would be the SHURiKEN SK-BT60. It's a little underpowered for your system, but it should work fine for you. It is also a god brand,

My question is when should you add both a second battery and alternator? Im just finishing up installing 3 Fosgate Power amps totaling 2500 watts RMS. I have a 250 amp alternator that im installing with all 0 gauge everywhere, but trying to decide if I want to run a 0 gauge wire from the amp ground all the way to the front of the car to the battery ground, or install a second battery in the trunk and just ground the amps with that ground. Im thinking if I do the second battery option the ground is still going through the car and not sufficient for 200+ AMP draw. Or should I do both, install the second battery and also still run a 0 gauge wire from that battery and amp ground to the front battery ground. Damn I miss the days whey you could just install 2 old school Punch 150s with 4 gauge wire and call it

when you say total RMS.. does this only apply to the amplifier rms ? or do the speakers rms wattage come into the equation as well?

The alternation is the last thing you should replace, multiple battery should be just fine in most applications, unless you are running a huge system then should replace your alternator with a higher amperage one

You would have to measure the area of your stock battery to see which aftermarket one would fit.

Hello! Are there any tradeoffs using a bigger battery? My 2012 accord battery dies in 3 -4 days of not using it. I want to use a bigger battery but someone told me that it might damage the alternator. Thanks!

The speed at which your amp draws power does not how much power the battery can provide.

What would I need to do in order to run 2 12s on 2000 rms plus 2 10s on about 700 rms? I currently have my 2 10s hooked to my stock battery with a capacitor and they run just fine.
