How Braces ACTUALLY Work

Ever wonder how braces actually work? Let's talk about what to expect at your first braces appointment and the following adjustment/tightening appointments!

Traditional brackets and wires and clear aligners are all different types of braces systems. Each one works or looks a bit different than the other, but they all physically move your teeth into a straighter position. The key is specific points of pressure at certain areas throughout your mouth. All that “nudging” causes the teeth to tilt and turn into the desired position over a gradual period.

Invisalign for the win! Sore the first day is an understatement, more like mild pain. And also having to relearn how to talk with your tongue having less space for the first day or 2.

Just got my braces again lol Tuesday 😂🤦🏾‍♀️🤗 wasn’t wearing my bottom retainer like I was Supposed too then I was younger and my teeth shifted back🤦🏾‍♀️ hopefully they gave me a permanent retainer this time lol 😂

Hello I just started my braces treatment and got them around April my case was that I have an upper canine on my right top teeth and they said I will need them for 2 years I cannot wait too see the ending results teeth are the most valuable thing a human can have and I’m so grateful that at the age of 24 I was Finally able to get them . If possible can you please do a how to brush if possible for upper canine with braces please thank u love your channel 🤎

I got my cleaning done in May 2022 and have tartar buildup already.. it seems like it's too soon to be having plaque buildup already.. should I get another cleaning? Maybe instead of every 6 months go 3-4 instead? I would greatly appreciate your advice(:
