I started my Invisalign journey when I was 38. Best investment ever in my life! Almost down here. Cannot wait to see my new smile!

I need to show this to my patients before they get their braces put on! You have no idea how many questions I get about the differences between braces vs invisalign! Especially the difference between braces cost and Invisalign price! Thanks for your awesome work!

Thank you for this video, I’m glad I saw it. I’m aged late 40s and about to get braces (never had them before) next week. I opted for the metal ones as just want to get the job done without having to rely on myself 100% (other than hygiene) and it is great to hear this in depth comparison. My teeth have moved over the years, have kind of slanted inwards, in particular one in the front which keeps chipping and there’s also now a big overlap from the tooth beside it.

Thank you for your detailed explanation. I had ceramic braces as a teen and now in my 30’s I have Invisalign to correct what wasn’t accomplished as a teen and align any movement that has occurred since. I wish all orthodontists had this conversation with their clients. What’s best for each persons teeth position, pain tolerance etc. i did experience discomfort with sharp edges on Invisalign but the file took away some of it but not all. I also had a slight lisp with Invisalign on 😬 but wearing Invisalign or braces during Covid/lockdown was easy with a mask on 😂 a permanent way to mask the journey.

I got metal braces 10 months ago and I love the results thus far. My teeth are already strait now it’s just time to close all the gaps especially the field goal in the front

I am 4 months into braces. I had heard that Invisalign was cheaper but then found out it wasn't. My doctor said the braces were more effective. I was surprised to hear that. I would like another video to understand what conditions are better for each. My teeth aren't that crooked so it wasn't a big deal. I find I can eat almost all the same foods but have to cut them up into smaller bite-size pieces. So far the brackets are holding up well.

I'm 40 and have been absolutely self-conscious about my awful teeth since my teenage years, my parents never cared to get anything done in that department, and then I couldn't afford it, on top of absolutely shitting my pants at the mere mention of a dentist (resulting in 20+ years of avoidance, yes, gross, I know and I'm far from proud of it). I've had enough and now that I can afford it, I decided that I'm taking the step and made a dentist appointment for January to start the process first with actually seeing a dentist and getting the basic stuff done/sorted out, and to get the wheels moving to get braces so I can maybe actually give a real, genuine smile and none of that tight-lipped smiling thing I've been doing for way too many years, looking back at pictures from the happiest times in my life and seeing this non-smile is breaking my heart, honestly. Watching videos about the different options really helps to ease my mind. I'm in France so I guess maybe the cost aspect of it may be different, but I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place, because I'm afraid of the pain of the regular braces cutting up the inside of my mouth, but I don't mind the appearance of them (it's not like I show my teeth as they are now anyway so it makes no difference to me) but the difference in cost between regular braces and invisalign is probably going to rule the latter out. I guess I will just have to see about that, but I wanted to say, those videos are so helpful.

I am 52. I have an Invisalign appointment Friday. I had traditional braces when I was a teenager. I have had several dental procedures and a couple of crowns put on my teeth so I think Invisalign will be the best option for me. I remember the days when my cheeks would be so sore from being irritated from my metal brackets! If no one tells you, ibuprofen or tylenol can help with the tooth discomfort of the adjustments.

Very informative video. I had braces as a young teen because I had a tooth growing upside down that needed to be pulled down. I don't think the braces were intended to straighten my teeth but to make space for the tooth to be pulled into position. As an adult I am now getting braces to correct an open bite. Another thing to keep in mind is find an orthodontist you trust and have a good rapport with in this process. When I got my first braces, I wanted metal to help cut down the cost of ceramic. The orthodontist put ceramic on without telling us and then charged the extra fees for it

Invisalign was cheaper for my daughter because there wasn't as many appointments. We go back 14 weeks after her first fitting, after that 21 weeks later. With the metal braces, I think it's every 6 weeks to tighten them. She does really well with them, and I can see a difference already. We are only on week 3 though.

Great video. I opted for Invisalign and have wanted to for some time. I always had friends with traditional braces and worried about cutting my mouth. I agree the Invisalign is a little more work but I’m definitely committed, as anyone should be after spending their hard earned money. I never thought about the fact that with traditional braces, how flossing and brushing would be a little more difficult. I think this is a good video for anyone who is going back-and-forth on which to decide.

I had Invisalign since 2020 it is now 2022 and I just switched over to the metal braces because I was not wearing my Invisalign consistently for 22 hours a day… I have had the braces for 4 days and there are no regrets of switching over. I don’t have to worry about placing them back in my mouth, and I don’t have to worry about biting on a chewy and taking pics of my teeth every 2 weeks. I liked Invisalign but it was just too much work and I’m a busy woman to have to be doing all that!

I just started my clear aligner treatment. 21 trays for upper teeth and 7 for lower. I prefer this option as it is easy to maintain dental hygiene, has no food restrictions and the surfaces are smooth. I am in the first week of my treatment, wearing the aligners for 20+ hours I hope I can continue this for the rest of the sets too!

I started my Invisalign a few days ago and the toughest part for me is getting into the routine of wearing them 20+ hours a day. I have to like plan my eating schedule around wearing them plus I feel the urge to brush right after I eat, feels gross to just pop them in right after. I’m also a medical MJ patient so before I smoke I take them out and that always fucks me up too lol. So deff pros and cons to both in my opinion/experience. I had braces as a kid and at least I didn’t have to constantly take them out to eat and feel like I had to brush 5x a day 🤣 but the Invisalign is nice because u can’t see them and I swear my teeth look straighter by just wearing them lmao

I went to at least 8 orthodontist and everyone wanted to charge me 4k+ for braces and wanted to pull teeth. I'm 28 and didn't want to do that. Thank you for this video! Starting invisalign soon, found a dentist I love who said it would only be 3k no teeth pulling.

I think anyone whose reason for going for braces is: I would remove it when it hurts or forget to wear it means you have shallow resolve and should just give up anyway, sounds like you wont bother with retainers in future.
For those who say cleaning teeth between each meal bruh like really hygiene.
For an adult with minor to mild issues I would always pick invisalign, it looks better makes you look more attractive if you want to date. If its serious then braces is best solution though.

One thing you didn't touch up on is bite problems- Can invisalign correct open bite/overbite/underbite? How about lingo-braces?
Thank you so much for your videos, they're really informative and fun to watch!
