Invisalign/3M Clarity clear aligner treatment before and after photos timelapse for crowding, crooked teeth and an overbite/overjet. Learn the cost, treatment time, pain, and tips on removing and wearing them.

I just completed my clear aligner (often called Invisalign) braces treatment. The actual company was 3M clarity aligners, not Invisalign. However, they use a similar clear aligner technology that Invisalign is known for popularizing.

In this video, I'll detail the following:

-Before and after pictures of my 3M/invisalign treatment
-Cost of clear aligner treatment
-Paid I experienced
-Retainer I used (Essix)
-Fixed/Bonded retainer pictures
-Invisalign/3M Clarity attachments
-Treatment time to correct my bit and straighten my teeth
-How to clean your aligners
-How to remove aligners with attachments
-and more!

The best thing I can say about wearing the aligners it definitely help me cut down on sweets and soda. Water is 1 thing u can consume without removing the aligners so my water intake has spiked dramatically and this has helped my overall health.

I started the Invisalign treatment 2 weeks ago, I'm on my second set already.
I confirm the first days are the worst, the pain in my case was not so bad but the saliva thing is real, but it only took 5 days for my mouth to get used.
Other than that it's pretty straight forward. It takes a bit of organization and getting used to brushing your teeth after every meal. I recommend having a travel case with a mini toothpaste and a foldable toothbrush for work or on the go situations.
Best decision ever.

I just got Invisalign. We have similar problems with the lower teeth. This video is really helpful. Thanks!

Depending on which teeth is shifting, I’ve had trays where pain was a 2. Then other weeks the pain was like a 7 or 8. It goes away after like day 3. I technically wouldn’t say its pain - more so pressure is probably a better word. Never unbearable though. Taking them out to eat when your teeth is sore is probably the worst experience lol Also made me lose weight which I Wasnt expecting lol but makes sense since, since I cant snack and eat/drink like i did prior to treatment. Invisalign definitely is NOT for someone who cant be discipline. Just go get the brackets lol. I enjoy the journey with mine however.

2:43 min.... Yep, that was me exactly! I was screaming in pain. 🥺 The worst thing was taking them off and putting them on in that first week.
I am at the end of my 2nd week. Feels a bit better now.

Just got mine the day before yesterday! I have very similar teeth placement, and had to get all the fixings. The threading on the front crowded teeth was painful afterwards, but the benefits are definitely worth it. I also got the drilling.

Thank you for the video, I feel more confident!

I love my Invisalign. It’s a pain in the ass sometimes and tedious. I’m getting ready for tray 10 tomorrow. I love my results so much.

I'm wearing invisalign and I got 19 trays. Currently on tray 15. I have experience most of what you're say. I get pain every two weeks when I change my trays, I already had lisp so it only got worse with the aligners lol and the aligners do cut my jaw as some can be really sharp on the edges. Also, with the first few trays I had lots of saliva in my trays. Overall, I have no regrets

On my first week with them and so far not too terrible, thank goodness... though my Orthodontist told me he set it up so the first few trays aren't going to be too aggressive, but I guess that means later on it might be worse.

No one mentions what a pain those attachments are, though, when your aligners are off. Mine were borderline sharp feeling. I had to go back to the ortho because a couple attachments came off so he needed to address it, and I told him my attachments were uncomfortable, especially when trying to eat, and he was able to smooth them out a bit for me... so much better! So if I had any advice is to request to feel your attachments first before heading out the door at your first appointment. If they feel sharp on your fingers, they'll feel even worse inside your mouth. Tell them so they'll fix it. A good Orthodontist wants you to be as comfortable as possible.

RE: extra saliva - not my experience. In fact my mouth has been feeling really dry instead - so that may be your experience, too. Either lots of saliva, or possibly a really dry mouth.

I just started my case. I’m on my second day now and boy oh, boy do I regret this ): I’m actually in a lot of pain. As soon as I popped in my aligner after attachments I thought “what did I do…” I hope this feels better soon! I have attachments on just about every to other on my upper and lower arch. 😖

I've been using theese for about 2 months now. I dont feel anything. No pain at all. I talked about it with with my orthodontist and she told me that around 80% of people who use bracers or any kind of teeth aligment feel pain. Rest dont get bothered at all. Im lucky, you might not. Just a warning

I am regretting my life choices, not because of the pain, but because I am hungry, and I don't want to be taking them off to eat 😅

I went with traditional braces. But they are clear. Can't even tell I have them. It's 5 months faster than the invaslign treatment and two thousand dollars cheaper. Seems like you had a lot of maintenance. I just brush, used a water pic and cut out certain foods. Foods I don't normally eat anyways. The pain isn't that bad. I just ate softer foods for a few days as my teeth adjusted. Personally I would recommend traditional braces. But everyone's experience will be different.
