They managed to make a floating fat man terrifying is an amazing feat.

There's a sound when his anti-grav implant activates that sounds like creaking bones.

What surprises me most about this version is, besides it’s sheer effort to be faithful to the book, is it’s fresh portrayal of Baron Harkonnen. Previous actors, however good, were always flamboyant, bombastic, and loud. Skarsgard here is so much more quiet, dark, and sinister. Truly menacing.

Dear god the sound design of this movie is impeccable. I wish I could've experienced this in IMAX. I sure as hell will for part 2

Love how when they talk about the Emperor in this scene, it’s done in silence. Great way of showing the Emperor is secretly running the show.

I'm so glad Baron Harkonnen survived Chernobyl, but at what cost

A lot of people are praising Stellan Skarsgard which is absolutely fair, but David Dastmalchian did a great job as Piter here. The voice, the poise; he leant more into the cunning nature of Piter shown in the books.

I love the look on Piter’s face after the reverend mother says “it understands”. He sorta has a mini existential crisis realizing that he could have been spied on for however long they had that thing around.

I cried when Paul said: "This is my Dune, too (2024)", and then they rolled the credits. This is the most movie of all time.

It's not "My Dune" it's "Mind you" as the baron wanted to pass by. He is the most kind person in the Dune universe.

Right at the 1:00 mark, the baron looks like he is thinking over a plan to make sure Paul and Jessica are dead, but in a way where he doesn't have to overtly lie to a Bene Gesserit.

There is definitely a strong influence from Marlon Brandon colonel Kurtz, not only in the performance of the actor but also in some of the shots.

This whole deal was some real slick political work by the Emperor. The Atreides and Harkonnens threaten his power with their martial prowess and wealth, respectively. So he moves the Atreides out of their well-secured homeworld into a new environment they'll have no time to master and lets the Harkonnens pay exorbitantly to move troops there. The result is that the Atreides army is wiped out and the Harkonnens are now in debt to him.

If 'Blood Meridian' movie ever gets to be made, baron's actor should play the judge. He'll be perfect for the role.

The line delivery at the end of this scene is so fantastic! My only complaint about dune is I wanted to see more of the baron 🎉

While the floating part was a silly addition thanks to the mistake of either David Lynch or the people behind the OG film(the Baron never flies, but uses the suspensors so he doesn't feel his full weight of his fat), I'm sort of glad this was shown here. In this moment, as the Baron hovers up, it adds to his height and imposing status. Friggin' awesome.

"Dune:Imperium"confirms that the "Pet'is a Tleilaxu creation.

Goddamn, Stellan Skarsgaard's voice is so deep and chilling.
