Atheists Can Now Go To Heaven

The new Pope Francis has declared that Atheists can make it into Heaven.

Pope Francis rocked some religious and atheist minds today when he declared that everyone was redeemed through Jesus, including atheists.

During his homily at Wednesday Mass in Rome, Francis emphasized the importance of "doing good" as a principle that unites all humanity, and a "culture of encounter" to support peace.

Using scripture from the Gospel of Mark, Francis explained how upset Jesus' disciples were that someone outside their group was doing good, according to a report from Vatican Radio.

I'm an atheist, and I honestly believe that the pope isn't trying to convert me. I like to believe that he is genuinely open minded. Each side just takes this in too intense of a manner.

Just because the pope says it doesn’t make it reality. The Bible says the road to heaven is narrow and few will enter. A lot of people don’t understand why so many people will go to hell, but the reason has to do with God and separation from God. It’s good to look into it

I like this pope more than the others. I also like how the "true face" of religion is shown in the comments. Christians being outraged by saying people doing good (!!) can be rewarded in Heaven. How can this not be a good thing? It seems like many Christians just like being an exclusive VIP club for the "righteous and -proud- humble", instead of focusing on things that actually matter. What a joke!
