Story 1: OP is a cartoon character who kicked the side of a building and it instantly collapsed into a pile of rubble.

Story 1 had me cackling with how much glee rslash (and the rest of us) is probably getting from this story. OP's wife is all of us.

Story 2: if you can’t afford basic essentials to living, a 1k Halloween costume should be the least of your worries.

First Story:Op didn’t ruin the marriage, it sounds like it was already on its final straw. You did nothing wrong and it’s not your fault. E sounds kinda like she had breakdown, I hope E can get help. Final Story:OP’s ex is just a leech and is trying to get as much as he can before OP dumps him. OP comes across kinda like a doormat that finally stood up for herself. Please seek therapy and change the locks.

Story 1: op's wife is an agent of chaos and I love it

As someone with autism, ADHD, and depression, I literally am not this bad with money. That guy is financially immature and stupid.

In the story of OP saying the joke, which surposively sparked some drama with the friend and her husband. After OP wrote that his wife was "giddy" when finding out about what was going, then the friend showing up at 7am. I had this image of the wife sitting within hear shoot of OP and the friend, with some popcorn... as if she was at the movie theater. LOL

4:49 - Emma was mad that people knew her drama after *she* loudly talked about *her own drama* in public. (3:18)

Goodness both the people in this relationship are nuts

First story: OH GOD EMMA IS CRAZY! At first I was like "why the Hell the engaged couple blamed OP for making a fuss when it was Emma's?" but now I know it wasn't because of that, but because that cuckoo of a woman made up a fake affair between her and OP. Luckily OP managed to solve everything with his friends;

I feel bad for Dave though: imagine having someone that crazy for a partner, and I feel she will make up even worst stuff about him during the divorce process. Luckily seems he have OP to vouch Emma is a liar and crazy, and wouldn't surprise me if at some point she end up getting hospitalized in a psych ward by court orders.

Story 1 reminds me of the one time i drunkenly told my friend "man your a bigger dude than me, idk if i could go back with someone who cheated on me" and then unloaded the whole story of how his gf had been cheating on him for 3 months before their break and he had no idea XD

Every time I see the "bro fell off" comments, I can feel my brain melting like ice under a heat lamp.

Last story: if someone ever asks to take out a personal loan in your name always say no and make sure they don’t have your social security number or any other important documents. Also if the costume is really that expensive then he’s probably commissioning a professional to make a movie grade suit, which is a luxury not a necessity, so yeah OP definitely made the right call by breaking up with him.

Story 1: the way I’m cackling at all this (just like OP’s wife). It seems like the marriage was over long before OP’s joke. But the joke was not only the final nail in the coffin, but the rock that destroyed the glass house of cards around a troubled person. This wasn’t even 4D chess either…it was just woven chaos with lil miss delulu at the center. And she was stupid enough to expose herself too!! This made my morning so much better 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Story 2: ummmm what kind of loan do you need for a Halloween costume? HOW MUCH IS THE COSTUME?! $1500?! WHAT COSTUME (unless it’s a whole fur suit) COSTS THAT MUCH?! He wanted that much for a damn custom made Spider-Man costume?! No way. Bruh this man has no financial management/survival skills. And then he wants to lie about who “made him” ask for the money for the costume? Nope. Glad OP got out.

S1: OP’s wife is probably the best part cause she knows damn well how bad it’s gonna get and is also the only adult in the relationship with an actual working brain and spine.

What Spider-man costume costs $1500?!?! I thought it was going to be realistic armor like Master Chief.

Story 2: a simple “no”, and leaving your leech of a boyfriend should sort that out. He doesn’t care about you OP, only cares about your wallet.
Glad you left him, you deserve MUCH better. I’d consider staying single for a long time so you can learn to love yourself before considering dating again, OP.

Story 1: it would absolutely not surprise me to find out Emma has been diagnosed as a psychopath. They tend to be bored and feel unfulfilled unless they are inflicting psychic pain on others... Preferably several others at once.

So I also have ADHD, autism and depression and have struggled with spending, so in some ways, I get what the guy in the last story is going through - I've never done drugs, but having an "addictive personality" can fuck you up in other ways, like making you spend way more money than you need to on hobbies and such. I have to be VERY careful with any games containing microtransactions, and had to go cold turkey on one after realising that it was one of the main things stopping me paying off a £1k overdraft I got myself into at uni.

THAT BEING SAID. at no point during that period did I ever ask anybody to lend me thousands for a HALLOWEEN COSTUME, because I was also entirely self-aware that I was the one who'd gotten me into that mess and I was goddamn lucky I was able to get ANY support from my family to get out of it. Yes, people like us deserve support, but asking stuff like that... big red flag, that guy needs to get some professional assistance and take a good long look at himself. It's not easy, and I have sympathy for him, but yeah, definitely taking the piss with an ask like that.
