OP from the first story is incredibly lucky to have four parents who love and support him, seriously the best outcome from that entire situation. What a wholesome story.

For someone who had a kid at 14, she was way more mature than most adults on their 40s. I'm glad OP met their bio-parents, and they actually sound like good people

Dude, RSlash... no, no no no. Don't apologize for having gotten emotional. The audio quality stayed great. Audio quality is a technical aspect. It captured your emotion perfectly and it's your emotion that honestly makes you such a good listen. Hearing you get angry at abusive entitledparents, sympathetic to people who are at no fault but wonder amithe@$$hole, the glee at treelaw... it's so you and it's great.

The first story... I'm adopted too. My birthmother gave me up when I was a newborn due to being in a bad situation when I was born. We lost contact after I was adopted due to paperwork getting lost throughout the years. I'm now a 26 year old adult, and 26 years later we finally reconnected over the internet. After speaking with her for about six months, I went and visited her in the country of my origin. It was very emotional. We shared stories, cried, spent time with each other. Not once did I resent her. My adoptive parents raised me well, they let me know from the get go that I was adopted, they told me my birth mother made the hardest decision by giving me up, she gave me up out of love. 26 years later, and I'm so grateful we found each again.

No matter how many times I hear the first story, it still makes me tear up. Feels like it helps boost that feeling of goodness in the world ♥️

Story 2: I think Nick Crowley covered this story, he found a few news articles that basically confirmed that this did happen, down to the time (Jan 29). The daughter just "didn't want to be alone", but that definitely didn't help things considering how psychotic she was acting.

That first story was probably the best story yet that I’ve heard on this channel; and I’ve loved this channel for over a year now. You did sound emotional, and I wouldn’t have it any other way

finally a nice story, no entitlement, no drama, just people that did their best in a hard situation finally being able to reconnect with their son.

Your first story was wonderful to hear. I'm currently taking in a 16 year old girl (I'm taking classes to become her foster mom) who is being removed from a parent that should NEVER have had children (she had 4 daughters and I have the youngest). She was a drug addict that relied on others to literally care for, love, and comfort (as well as feed clothe, etc) "her" kids. Anyway, great job presenting a wonderful story that brightened my day. Sorry so long. THANK YOU and the WONDERFUL BOY that shared a beautiful story.

Can we give praise to the adoptive parents for how awesome they are. Not all adoptive parents are that supportive of their kids finding and bonding with their bio parents.

So happy

The first story was honestly beautiful. The way that his biological parents embraced him and that his adopted parents were happy and supportive.

I’ve heard stories about people giving up kids or being given up. And I’ve seen it portrayed in shows/on movies. In story 1, I think OP and his mom have the best story of this. She was 14 and handled the situation amazingly. Writing that letter to explain it, that was a pro move. Because usually, the kid grows up with questions and insecurities, the whole ‘why didn’t my mom love me?’ Or ‘I hate her for abandoning me!’ But she wrote the letter, so OP knew his mom didn’t hate him and understood that a 14 year old just couldn’t handle it, and knew she was open to a relationship eventually. Soooo great

First story: finally something wholesome after so many entitled people.

for the record, I thought the subreddit was r/Bestof My Neighbor Hid HER MOM'S CORPSE in Her House
like... the whole thing. Like not only is there an r/my neighbor hid her mom's corpse in her house, but there's also an r/best of subreddit for it.

Its so awesome that OP's parents were supportive of them meeting their biological parents. They now have 4 loving parents

Openly sobbing? Oh, dear. I don't know if I can watch all of it, or else _I'll_ start sobbing.
*First OP:* Okay, I need a hug. May OP and both pairs of his parents all have dry socks, and may both sides of their pillows remain cool. ❤
*Second OP:* Woah, that was wild! I'm glad OP and her family are okay. I know this is a serious story, but I giggled a little at 'the smell that came out of the h0le was indescribably bad."

The first story hit me really REALLY hard. I DID place a child up for adoption. Im hoping that when I get to meet him, it will be like this!

I lost my oldest son to cancer nearly one year ago. The story of the parents getting their child back, who they were forced to give up, had me bawling my heart out. I don't think I've ever felt this much happiness for another person.

I hope Dabney reads more wholesome stories. He reads this negative stuff constantly. He can use the positive in his life too. And I love it when he reads the positive, maybe it's not for everyone, but it wouldn't be bad and I would listen to it!

I'm so glad the first story turned out wholesome any way you look at it. OP's parents had a kid young and couldn't provide him a good life, so they reluctantly turned him over for adoption with a note to find them someday. OP grows up in a happy, loving home and decides to find his bio parents. And the bio parents both loved and kept thinking about their son during that time. That's the sort of thing that keeps my faith in humanity alive, man!
